On arrival in Maun, Botswana you are met and assisted to your connecting flight to Xaraxai airstrip.
When you land at the airstrip you will be emt and transferred by vehicle to camp. Once you have settled in to your tent you enjoy high tea prior to your first game activity,
You return to camp for dinner.

Game Drives
Mapula is located in an area on the northern fringes of the famed Okavango Delta, an enormous, 220,000 acre concession that’s a matrix of floodplains, woodlands and channels. Waterways snake across the landscape, spilling into glassy lagoons and encircling islands of stately palms and trumpeting elephant. It’s an iconic Delta landscape, and a magical environment in which to enjoy the abundance of wildlife.
There’s lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog, but you’ll also spot elusive and lesser-known predators like caracal, serval and mongoose. On the edge of the water, buffalo congregate en masse and trunk-swinging elephant bathe, watched beadily from the channels by sun-basking crocs and hippo. Antelope dot the floodplains in every direction, and zebra and giraffe appear at the flash of a camera. The birdlife here is especially noteworthy, with the endangered wattled crane, carmine bee-eaters, and the African paradise flycatcher all regularly spotted.
Activities on offer include morning and afternoon game drives and mokoro sfaaris (in season) and possibly some fishing (April to December).

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light air transfer to Sable Alley Lodge.
Air movements are scheduled the day before and are usually set in the siesta time after the morning activitiy and before the afternoon one.
You will arrive in time to orientate yourself to this beautiful camp prior to your first game activity.
You return to the lodge for dinner.

Sable Alley is set amid the game-rich floodplains of Khwai Private Reserve. In partnership with the local communities in Khwai, proceeds from staying at Sable Alley go straight back into the Khwai Village community projects.
Located right on the banks of a lily-covered lagoon, home to numerous hippo and a favourite drinking spot for elephant and buffalo, the big game quite literally comes to you at Sable. Khwai offers one of Africa’s greatest and most exclusive safari experiences. Have your binos at the ready for lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo, elephant and hundreds of dainty antelope as you drive through the diverse landscapes.
Activities available include night, afternoon and evening game drives, Mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, boat trips and guided walks.
You have the next two nights at Sable Alley enjoying the game activities on offer.

This morning you are met and transferred by light air transfer to Gomoti Camp.
After lunch you head off on an afternoon game drive and return to camp for dinner.

Ideally set in a cool sheltered spot beneath a canopy of mature acacia trees, Gomoti Plains Camp is situated on the edge of the Gomoti River system and floodplains in the centre of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Gomoti is alove with diversity and the chance to spot big plains game, wild dog dens, large prides of lion, big herds of buffalo and even leopard and cheetah. Gomoti offers a rich habitat to a multitude of birds, insects and animal species.
Activities available include day and night game drives, walking safaris, mokoro excursions and also the chance to meet the local villagers in cultural encounters.
You have 2 full days in which to enjoy Gomoti Plains enjoying the game activities on offer.

This morning after your final game activity and breakfast, you are transferred back to the airstrip for your flight to Maun.
On arrival in Maun you connect with your flight to Johannesburg and depart Africa.
