Today the adventure begins! Please make your way to the International Airport terminal in time to check in and catch your flight to Johannesburg . On arrival into Johannesburg, you will be met immediately off the plane and fast tracked through immigration, with luggage collection and shown the way to City Lodge. Check in and spend one nigt with breakfast included.
After breakfast, it's time to check out. Make your way back to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport in time to check in and catch the scheduled early morning flight to Kigali.
Welcome to Rwanda!
On arrival into Kigali International Airport, clear immigration, collect your bags, and proceed through customs to the arrivals hall. Here, meet a private guide who will be with your for the duration of your Rwandan safari. You will be assisted to the vehicle and head out on a city and Genocide Memorial tour. Stop for lunch (own account0, before heading off and transferring up towards Volcanoes National Park. On arrival, check in and spend three nights at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge with all meals and 2 gorilla treks per person included.
This morning, wake early and enjoy a substantial breakfast before heading off at the agreed time with your guide to the Ranger's office in Volcanoes National Park.
We recommend you take a small backpack with water, snacks, camera, garden gloves and waterproof jacket.
Please note: Along the way, it is important to communicate with your guide what style of hike you prefer - short, medium or challenging. Your guide will then liaise with the national park team and negotiate you into the most relevant group. It is essential that you let your driver/guide know your preferences before you arrive at the Ranger's office.
After a safety briefing and climbing team allocations, you'll head off with your guide to the starting point of the trek.
Enjoy the trek through fields, over the park fence and through rainforest in search of the gorilla family you've been allocated. You have 1 hour with the group and remember your bag will be left with the porters, only take your camera. This is for the safety of the group and gorillas.
Descend back down the mountain and meet your guide where he dropped you off. You'll drive to the information centre and it's here you get to collect your trek certificate before returning to the lodge for lunch.
Enjoy your second gorilla trek and return for well earned rest at the lodge.
After breakfast, it's time to check out. Meet your guide in reception at time agreed and enjoy a scenic transfer to Lake Kivu. On arival, check in and spend two nights at Emeraude Kivu Resort with all meals, chimp trek and treetop walk included.
After breakfast this morning, meet your guide and head out for a chimp trek and canopy treetop walk. The exact departure time this morning will be advised by your guide the night prior. Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure time.
After breakfast, it's time to check out. Meet your guide at the agreed time and transfer back to Kigali, stopping for lunch along the way. On arrival at Kigali International Airport, big your guide good bye and proceed to check in and catch the scheduled flight to Nairobi.

On arrival into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, clear immigration, collect your bags, and proceed through customs to the arrivals hall. Here, meet a driver who will transfer you to your accommodation. Check in and spend one night at The Boma Hotel with breakfast included.
After breakfast, its time to check out. Meet a driver in reception at the agreed time and transfer to Wilson airport in time to check in and catch the scheduled light aircraft flight to the Samburu National Reserve. On arrival into Samburu Airstrip, disembark, collect your bags, and meet a guide who will transfer you and any fellow guests to your accommodation. Check in and spend two nights at Saruni Samburu with all meals, local brand drinks, and safari activities included.
Spend the next few days enjoying morning and afternoon safari activities with your guide and fellow guests. This region is vastly different from a typical safari area and worth exploring!
After morning activity and breakfast, its time to check out. Meet a driver at the agreed time and transfer to your next accommodation in the Sera Conservancy (approx. 1.5/2 hours). On arrival, check in and spend two nights at Saruni Rhino with all meals, local brand drinks, and rhino focused walking and game drives included. Spend these days enjoying morning an dafternoon safari activities with a guide and fellow guests.
After breakfast, its time to check out. Meet a driver at the agreed time and transfer to your next accommodation in the Meru National Park (approx. 3.5 hours). On arrival, check in and spend two nights at Elsa's Kopje Meru with all meals, local brand drinks, and safari activities included. Spend these days enjoying morning and afternoon safari activities with your guide, tracker and fellow guests.
After breakfast, it's time to check out. Meet a camp guide and transfer with any fellow guests to the airstrip in time to catch the scheduled light aircraft flight to Nairobi. On arrival into Wilson Airport, disembark, collect your bags, and proceed to the arrivals hall. Here, meet a driver hwo will transfer you to your accommodation. Check in and spend two nights at House of Waine with breakfast included.
