This area is home to the majority of the park's giraffe who feast on the acacia trees that dominate the area and it is here that you will have the best opportunity to find cheetah around Fisher's Pan which is the best habitat for their hunting methods.

There are also several large lion prides in this area and 2 nearby hyena dens that house clans in excess of 30 animals

There are many key waterholes around Namutoni all within a few kilometres so looping back to camp for quick rest stops makes planning your safaris easier than long days out.

Day 5: Etosha East

Today you head further into the park to the centrally wooded area around Halali Camp.

Halali has an exceptional floodlit waterhole where huge elephant herds come to drink at night and black rhino are seen there daily.

From Halali it is possible to go out onto the giant Etosha Pan to experience this unique geological feature
