You will fly into Victoria Falls Airport where you will be met at international arrivals by the transfer company who will have your name on a sign. They will transfer you to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.
This is a lovely lodge set on a concession just outside town, the main lodge looks over a waterhole. There are many activities available in the falls and we are happy to provide details and book these. You do not need a guide to see the falls as the paths are clear and well signposted but we are happy to provide one for you if you prefer. Lunch at The Lookout Cafe is a lovely way to end as it has stunning views of the gorge.
We also recommend a helicopter flight over the falls, sunset cruise and the canopy tour or gorge swing are great fun too.
You will be transferred to VFA and be assisted to your flight to Hwange. The time of the flight will be set 24 hours prior and you will be notified, you may have up to 4 stops at other camps en-route, please take note of the luggage restrictions. There you will be met and transferred to camp.
The lodge is on a private concession adjacent to Hwange National Park but there are no fences so game is free to move between them. Here you have activities included such as walks and game drives on the concession or into the park. There is also a waterhole in front of camp that will be popular with game at this dry time of year, they have a hide on the edge of the waterhole so you can get up close to the action.
After breakfast you will be collected by your transfer vehicle and taken to the wonderful Camp Amalinda in the Matobo Hills.
Tucked into the dramatic granite landscapes of Zimbabwe’s Matobo Hills, Amalinda Lodge offers you a truly unique safari escape steeped in history and natural beauty. Built seamlessly into ancient bushman caves and towering rock formations, the lodge blends rustic charm with understated luxury, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and extraordinary.
During your stay, you’ll explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site on guided walks and game drives, tracking rhino on foot and discovering centuries-old San rock art. Back at the lodge, unwind in individually designed rooms carved into the rocks, dine beneath the stars, and soak in the profound tranquillity of this remarkable and spiritual landscape.
Sadly your final day has arrived and you will have a transfer to Bulawayo Airport to check in for your international flight to Johannesburg.
