Day 1: Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania!

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be greeted and taken by road transfer to the Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge. This is the perfect place to relax and refresh after your long flight before heading off on safari the following morning.  Dinner can be enjoyed at the in-house restaurant (dinner on guests own account).

Days 2 - 3: Tarangire National Park

This morning after breakfast you will be taken to Arusha Airstrip, where you will be assisted to board your light aircraft transfer into the famous Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its vast herds of elephant and offers outstanding game viewing all year round.

Arrive at the Airstrip where your safari guide will be waiting to take you to Tarangire Treetops Camp. Enjoy a 3 night stay with all meals, safari game drives and walking safaris included.]

A Blaze of Colour and Smiles

As you arrive at the Lodge, you are immediately greeted by a blaze of colour and a host of smiles all of which belong to the local Maasai tribesmen who have become part of the enchanting story that is Tarangire Treetops.

Enchanting and Romantic

Centered about a Main Lodge - which itself encases a thousand year-old baobab tree - Tarangire Treetops comprises of 20 rooms all of which are elevated above the ground affording views over the tops of surrounding marula and baobab trees.

Ultimate Rooms with Magnificent Views

Each Treetops Room boasts one of the largest bedrooms to be found in any camp or lodge in East Africa – with a floor space of 65 square metres – and all with an exotic double shower en suite bathroom. With furnishings that create warmth and demonstrate a commitment to local craftsmanship, the ‘up-in-the-air’ experience is completed by the open-fronted room design affording views across the Tarangire plains from an expansive but private balcony.

A Multitude of Memorable Moments

Dining at Treetops sustains the momentum of undeniably memorable moments. Whether enjoying a lantern-lit dinner in a traditional Boma echoing to the sounds of Maasai chants, or eating poolside by candlelight whilst a wealth of wildlife comes to drink at the Lodge water hole, Treetops creates memories by the minute and in so many differing ways.

An Elevating Experience

However it is the pure delight and sheer pleasure of Tarangire Treetops that will remain with you for years to come, and will keep you returning, if only in spirit, to this delightfully dreamlike lodge.

Day 4: Wilderness Usawa Serengeti

Today you will depart from Tarangire Airstrip by light aircraft to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park.

On arrival at the airstrip you will be greeted and taken to the beautiful Usawa Seregeti Luxury Mobile Tented Camp for your next 2 nights. All meals, house drinks and safari activities are included during your stay.

The seasonal migration moves throughout the year across the length and breadth of Serengeti National Park. Though reasonably predictable, herd movements are dictated by rain and tend to migrate from the south in a north-westerly direction, before making their way up north around September. From there, the journey begins back to the south. It is along these routes that Wilderness Usawa moves.

Enjoy morning and evening game drives in the most exclusive of wildlife destinations. Guided safari walks are also included to view Africa's iconic species on foot.

Days 5 - 7: Eastern Serengeti

This morning it's onwards by light aircraft to the beautiful Namiri Plains, your home for the next 2 nights. All meals, house drinks and safari game drives are included during your stay.

When not discovering the abundance of wildlife, you can lounge by the welcoming pool, unwind in the library, or indulge in a revitalising massage at the spa. Whether you seek a peaceful escape amidst the stunning scenery, thrilling dawn-to-dusk game drives, or specialised photographic safaris in our custom-designed vehicles, our welcoming team caters to your every whim. Namiri Plains offers the most comprehensive, all-embracing experiences, high-quality, year-round game viewing, luxurious accommodations, and the highest service levels.

This is big cat country. Here, you can spot the majestic big cats such as lion, cheetah, and leopard, and sometimes the smaller serval and caracal. There is an abundance of plains game enjoying the grasslands and keeping the predator population well-fed. If you visit between October and May, you may be fortunate enough to witness the herds of the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra, either as they pass camp during their journey south, or on a full day game drive to the short grass plains of the southern Serengeti.
