Travel By XO - Discovery of Botswana in 4x4 and charter plane

Welcome to Africa !

Upon  your arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, a transfer from your lodge will give you your travel documents and transfer to your accommodation next to the impressive falls: "Masuwe Lodge" (+/- 20 minutes).

Masuwe Lodge is housed in the heart of a nature reserve where a large number of animal species live, including kudus, leopards, wild boars, impalas and many others. The reserve is also home to almost 500 species of birds.

Once arrived at your lodge, you can go on a 4x4 safari in Chamabonda National Park. You can also choose to go on a walking safari in the Masuwe Sanctuary.

Breakfast at your lodge.

This morning, you will go on a 4x4 safari or a walking safari in the sanctuary to observe the animals that live there.

After your lunch at the lodge, you can relax on your private terrace and enjoy the animals and birds that surround you.

This afternoon, you will leave to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls on foot. You can discover this natural wonder and learn more about its formation and history. Then, you will then go on a tour of the city.

This morning, you can go on safari either by 4x4 or on foot in the sanctuary before taking a transfer that will take you to the city of Victoria Falls.

Transfer from the border with Botswana to go right next to Chobe National Park, at the "Pangolin Chobe Hotel" (+/- 01h30).

When you arrive at the lodge, you can have lunch and rest before leaving for your first photo safari, either by car or by boat.

If you are a photography lover, you will have the opportunity to exercise your talents! You can use your equipment if you have one, if not, the lodge can provide you with professional equipment.

This morning, you will go on a photo safari, boat or 4x4 in the Chobe National Park.

You can then have lunch and enjoy a rest. You can take advantage of the natural swimming pool and observe the elephants who come to drink at the water point right next to the lodge.

This afternoon, you will leave for a second photo safari activity (4x4 or boat).

Dinner at the lodge on your return.

Breakfast at the lodge and pick up of your vehicle.

You will then leave for a last photo safari in the Chobe before driving to "Nata Lodge" (+/- 04h00) near the bird sanctuary. Nata Lodge is located right next to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans - the largest salt pan in the world.

Lunch at leisure.

This afternoon, you will go on a guided excursion with your lodge to discover the bird sanctuary. It is a natural breeding site where more than 165 species of birds come together!

Dinner at the lodge.

When night falls, you can discover and observe various species of nocturnal birds that come near the lodge.

Breakfast at lodge.

This morning, you will take your car and drive towards Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, where you will stay at "Planet Baobab" (+/- 01h30).

This afternoon, you can choose between the various activities below to discover this incredible place (not included):

• 4x4 safari in the Ntwetwe Pan to discover animal species that have adapted to the desert
• Meet the funniest inhabitants of the desert: the meerkats
• Visit a local village to learn more about Botswana culture
• Quad in the salt pan and overnight under the stars in a nomad camp (only possible in the dry season - April 25 to October 31)
• Observe the impressive migration of zebras and wildebeest (only during the green season - November 1 to April 24)

Lunch and Dinner at leisure.

This morning, you will go on a Baobab Bushwalk to discover the baobab forest with a guide who will share his knowledge with you. You will be lucky to be able to approach trees over 4000 years old!

After your excursion, you will drive to Maun airport (+/- 02h30) where you will leave your rental car and embark on a small private plane to fly to the heart of the Okavango Delta.

You will go to the Kwara private reserve where you will stay for 3 nights at the "Kwara Lodge".

On arrival, you can have lunch and rest by the pool or on your private terrace facing the lagoon,

03:30 p.m. : High Tea

04:30 p.m. : You can choose between a 4x4 safari or a boat to discover the beauty of the Okavango.

08:00 p.m. : Dinner at the lodge. After eating, you will have the opportunity to go on a night safari.

Program of your day in Okavango:

5:30 am: Early wake up

06:00 am: Departure for your morning activity (+/- 03h30). You can choose from the following activities:

• Safari in Mokoro
• Boat safari
• 4x4 safari
• Foot Safari

11:00 am: Brunch at the lodge

3.30 p.m .; High Tea

4.30 p.m .; You can choose between a 4x4 safari or a boat to discover the beauty of the Okavango.

8:00 p.m .: Dinner at the lodge.

9:00 p.m .: You will be able to go on a night safari.

Program of your day in Okavango:

5:30 am: Early wake up

06:00 am: Departure for your morning activity (+/- 03h30 ). You can choose from the following activities:

• Safari in Mokoro
• Boat safari
• 4x4 safari
• Foot Safari

11:00 am: Brunch at the lodge

Then, after brunch, you will take a small private plane that will take you to the Maun airport where you take a return flight home!
