The Pangolin Chobe Hotel was a labour of love over eleven months by Guts and his team working long long days and often into the night to turn a desolate abandoned shell of a building into one of the most innovative and captivating structures in the whole of Botswana.
Pangolin has always been an innovative company offering a safari experience above and beyond the normal “cookie cutter” safari. Traditional lodges built with wood and thatch are all well and good and certainly have their place but the Pangolin Chobe Hotel challenges the norm incorporating bold design with best environmental practices and a sense of welcoming inclusion from the moment you arrive.
The centrepiece of the building is the wildlife photography gallery, of which all fourteen rooms lead. The gallery features an array of images from our resident photographic guides and other top wildlife photographers who visit us frequently with their guests to enjoy The Chobe. Each image has been chosen to showcase differing photographic styles and techniques to inspire budding (and seasoned) photographers to think differently about their compositions. At the end of the gallery, you will find the editing suite for post-production sessions.

An oasis set among the Mokolwane palms on the edge of the pans. It is ideally situated close to the entrance to the Nata Sanctuary and is just off the main road, 10 km from Nata village. This is the junction to the Okavango, Chobe and Francistown areas.
The Nata River delta feeds the Sua Pan in the Nata sanctuary and forms the breeding ground for a host of water birds including pelicans and flamingo in their thousands, transforming the shore line into a pink haze blending into the western sky. Nata Lodge offers guided tours in open safari vehicles into the sanctuary, not to be missed.

In the heart of the Okavango Delta's Kwara Private Reserve, Splash Camp sits around a natural waterhole that attracts game all year round. The camp features ten en-suite tents and two guide tents of the same standard, all decorated in a sleek, contemporary style and positioned on a raised deck with an individual veranda overlooking the waterhole. The Kwando philosophy of being immersed in nature is reflected in its modern yet simple decor, and all rooms are open to the sounds of the bush.
Being in a permanent water location, Splash Camp provides year-round activities such as game drives, walking safaris, boat cruises, mokoro rides, and seasonal fishing. The open-air central space, which benefits from the cooling breeze, houses the bar, lounge, and dining area.
Guests can swim in the pool or visit the safari shop. A light breakfast is served daily by the waterhole, and in the evenings, stories are told around the fire pit after supper.
