Days 1 - 2: Central Namibia

Upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport, meet your Habitas representative, who will transfer you to the lodge. Then depart for Habitas Lodge approximately 30 kilometers southeast of the airport. Check-in and relax from the long flight. Depending on the arrival of your flight, you have the opportunity to join an afternoon game drive.

The next day is dedicated to lodge activities.

Day 3: Intu Afrika Kalahari Game Reserve

From Habitas, cross the Kalahari to Suricate Kalahari Tented Lodge, where you arrive around lunchtime. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to join an optional game drive until after sunset, which you will watch from the top of a dune while wine, beer and the classic Gin & Tonic will be served as sundowners to celebrate the moment.

Days 4 - 5: Tiras Mountains

From Suricate Tented Lodge the route continues further south to Sonop Lodge via Mariental and Maltahöhe. Visit Duwisib Castle along the way. Arrival in Sonop is in the early afternoon. Check in, relax and enjoy the lodge's tranquil old world charm for the next two days along with the many activities on offer at the lodge.

Day 6: Sesriem

Today you will visit the red dunes of Sossusvlei as you drive from Sonop to the Namib Naukluft entrance in Sesriem. Climb on Dune 45 to admire the surrounding panorama from above. Walk to Dead Vlei to admire the age-old dead trees that cover the brilliant white of the lake floor against the backdrop of red dunes and deep blue sky. On your return, stop at the Sesriem Canyon, a 36-meter, 6km-long gorge carved into the surrounding limestone conglomerate. Check-in at Sossusvlei Lodge. In the early evening you have the opportunity to undertake an optional leisurely sunset ride to view the sunset from a vantage point while wine, beer and Gin & Tonic are served.

Days 7 - 8: Swakopmund

Drive to the coast through the Ghaub and Kuiseb canyons and the great open plains of the central Namib desert. Stop at Solitaire to refuel and enjoy a piece of the famous freshly baked apple crumble. Before arriving in Swakopmund, visit the barren moonscape of Swakop Canyon. Then check into your hotel, freshen up and explore the city on foot. Dinner will be served in a restaurant in town and is NOT included in the tour price, but on your own.

The next day is full of fun with a choice of many optional activities. We suggest Marine Dune Day, a combination of a marine cruise in Walvis Bay, followed by a 4x4 excursion to Sandwich Harbor, 65km south of Walvis Bay, and the dune belt of the southern coastal Namib Desert. Return to base will be in the early evening. Relax and get ready for dinner, which will again be served in a restaurant in town and on your own account.

Days 9 - 10: Twyfelfontein

After breakfast we depart for the Cape Cross seal colony. Visit the Zeilah shipwreck en route a few kilometers before Henties Bay. The seal reserve is the largest breeding colony of the Cape seal on the entire west coast of southern Africa and is easily accessible because it is located on the coast. After your visit return to Henties Bay and turn inland and through the mining town of Uis you will reach Doro Nawas Camp in the late afternoon. Check in, relax and enjoy a sunset drink before dinner.

The next morning visit the carvings at Twyfelfontein, Namibia's first world heritage site, organ pipes and the burnt mountain. Upon your return, visit the Damara Living Museum and learn about the culture and tradition of the Damara people. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to undertake an optional desert elephant tracking excursion that the lodge offers. This excursion returns to base after dark in time for dinner.

Days 11 - 12: Hoanib River

A charter flight will take you from the Doro Nawas airstrip to Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. Enjoy the next two days in this exclusive camp with its exhilarating activities.

Days 13 - 14: Ongava Private Game Reserve

Return to the Doro Nawas airstrip by charter flight and continue with your car in the direction of Etosha National Park via Khorixas and Outjo. Arrival at Ongava Tented Camp in the mid afternoon. Check in, unwind from the trip, and sit on the veranda overlooking the much-frequented waterhole at the edge of the camp.

The next morning you have the opportunity to take an optional guided safari in Etosha National Park in open vehicles until lunchtime. Alternatively, take a game drive to Etosha in your own vehicle. In the afternoon it is possible to participate in a game drive in the Ongava Reserve.

Days 15 - 16: Onguma Game Reserve

Today is dedicated to full day game viewing in Etosha as you traverse the Etosha National Park from Okaukuejo Camp to its eastern confines. Exit the park through the Lindequist Gate with sunset as the park closes for the night and check in at Onguma Tented Camp for the next two nights. 

The next morning you have the option of participating in a guided game drive in the park in open vehicles, or undertake a game drive in your own vehicle. The afternoon will be spent with a guided game drive in the Oguma Game Reserve.

Day 17: Okonjima Nature Reserve

From Onguma the route continues south through the towns of Tsumeb, Otavi and Otjiwarongo. Okonjima Bush Camp will be reached around lunchtime. Check in and get ready for the afternoon leopard and cheetah tracking excursion. This activity and the after dinner nightdrive are both optional and not included in the tour price.

Day 18: End of Itinerary

All good things must end and so today you drive to the airport in time for your return flight back to Italy.
