Towering over the pans of the Auob wetlands is the Suricate Tented Lodge which has been built on top of a majestic red dune.
The tents which combine the ultimate African safari experience with the comforts and luxuries of modern day living leave a lasting impression on all our guests.
There are 12 tents complete with mini bars, safes, mosquito nets and all the amenities available at the other lodges with the added benefit of an open-air en-suite bathroom and a deck. One of the tents is a honey-moon suite, which is appropriately distanced from the other tents and has its own plunge pool for the convenience of the romantic couple.
The main lodge area is also intriguing as it boasts a large deck that overlooks the entire shimmering pan and the warbling waters of the infinity pool release any tension. Guests can choose to have their meals in the communal dining room which also has a built in fire place and bean bags for guests to relax on or to enjoy their meal on the deck surveying the pans.
At night guests enjoy the starry skies with drinks by the fire pit with the friendly staff at your beck and call, ready and willing to assist you with planning your day or with facilitating any activities guests may want to enjoy.

With its extensive, unique and creatively entertaining Restaurants, Bars, Deli, Lobby-Lounge, Sea Facing Terraces, Beach Kiosk and state of the art Conference & Banqueting Center, all set on the Mole, a historic and iconic site surrounded by Ocean on three sides, the Strand Hotel Swakopmund is a social epicenter and destination in itself for all visitors to and residents of Swakopmund.
Its architectural inspiration finds its roots deep in Namibian-German history and reflects this in a tasteful contemporary manner. The interiors are residential in nature, and the brief to all designers involved was to create a non-hotel, hotel. One as charming and welcoming as the town it is located in. Simply very warm and comfortable, and as they say in German: “gemütlich” providing a genuine “sense-of-place” atmosphere adding to any Namibian visit.
Arriving at the Strand is a dramatic experience as one passes through its 13m high and 9m wide Ocean View Atrium which travels right through the Hotel offering sea views at either end. Off this Atrium Lobby is Reception, consisting of three individual desks and an inviting open fireplace which rounds off the residential feel and warm welcome.

The name “Skeleton Coast” conjures up romantic images of desolate beauty, and proudly remote Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp in the Kaokoveld does not disappoint. The dry bed of the Hoanib River supports a thin green ribbon of vegetation and the wild beaches of the Atlantic coast are within reach, with their noisy seal colonies and eerily quiet shipwreck remnants.
Eight large en-suite tents (including one family unit) and the main area provide shady viewpoints, while nature drives into the surrounding area reveal a wealth of desert-adapted wildlife. Desert-adapted lion and brown hyena may also be glimpsed in this vast but far from lifeless landscape.
INSIDER'S TIP: On a stay of three nights or more, a coastal excursion to The Skeleton Coast is included. Usually involving a drive down to the coast and a flight back to camp, to see such a diverse area both on the ground and in the air.

In the local Herero language, Onguma means, "the place you don't want to leave." With a stunning main building and seven tents providing private, exclusive accommodation, Onguma Tented Camp, certainly lives up to its name.
Like the bush where soft air blows against sharp thorns, Onguma Tented Camp is a study in contrasts. Textures such as stone, suede, linen and steel create a setting that is sleek and modern but also inherently of the earth. Inspired by a photograph of an Oryx on Etosha's Fisher's Pan, the interior echoes the colours of its natural surrounds. Grey, charcoal, black, white, and creams, together with a touch of muted or unexpectedly bright green, adds sophistication and earthiness to the atmosphere of this seven tent camp.
The water-level hide will provide hours of game viewing opportunities for guests.
Onguma Game Reserve now offers guests an opportunity to start their safari from the moment they touch down at the private airstrip!
