Days 1 - 5: Ilha de Mozambique

You will be met on arrival at Nampula Airport and transferred to to Coral Lodge (approximately 2.5 hours drive).

Coral Lodge combines one of Mozambique’s most stunning beach locations with the country’s rich cultural and trading history. Situated on a spectacular peninsula, within an unspoilt nature reserve minutes by traditional sailing dhow from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ilha de Moçambique, Coral Lodge provides authentic Mozambique hospitality and modern villa accommodation in a truly stunning natural Indian Ocean seascape.

Lagoon Villas: 100m² of pure enchantment, these villas are perfect for total privacy. Situated on top of the dunes, these villas are more secluded and have a direct view over the mangrove forest towards Ilha de Moçambique. Lagoon villas have informal sitting areas (lounges), a bedroom, a bathroom and a large shaded terrace with two sunbeds.

You can simply enjoy the beach and natural water sports, or explore Mozambique’s rich history, its Portuguese history and understand the culture of the Macua people in the local village community. Coral Lodge is only 30 minutes away from Ilha de Moçambique, which is the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Mozambique. Additionally, you may experience unique wildlife around the lodge. There are bush babies, monkeys (“Chiquinhos”), mongoose and a wide variety of birds and fish.

Activities included in your rate: Snorkelling in the lagoon; Canoeing; Paddle Boarding; Guided visit to the "Ilha de Mozambique", Walk & Canoe trip to Cabaceira Pequena and the local Macua community; "Cooking with the Chef" - join the lodge chef and learn how to cook his favourite Mozambican dishes; 1 Sunset Sail with cocktails
