Excursion:
Aquila Private Game Reserve Afternoon Safari, half day tour.
This 2 to 3 hour safari departs at 13:30. The safari is led by an experienced guide who will share exciting inside stories and facts about your surroundings, easily rousing your inner wild side.
The Cape Town safari day tour includes a lunch and a 2 to 3 hour game drive.
All safaris are conducted in open safari vehicles.
Afternoon Safari Day Tour
10h00: Depart Cape Town to Aquila – the scheduled transfers do pick-ups from pre specified hotels starting from around 09h00
12h00: Arrival at Aquila. Welcome drink served on arrival
12h15: Buffet Lunch
13h30: Game drive
After the game drive guests are able to relax at the pool and are welcome to browse Aquila's African curio shop or indulge in a Spa treatment (optional extra; pre-booking required)
16h00: Depart Aquila and return to Cape Town
Excursion:
You will get picked up from their hotel by an experienced local guide and drive along the coast with the 12 Apostles Mountain range on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. You will visit the picturesque fishing village of Hout Bay where you have the option to go and visit seal island on a Duiker Island boat cruise (cost for own account) or browse around the curio stalls. You will travel along Chapmans Peak drive to Cape Point, visit Boulders Beach to be entertained by the penguins frolicking on the beach or in the waves. Lunch along the way for your own account. Transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Whale Watching Cruise in Gansbaai
This boat cruise offers you a breath-taking 2 and a half hour trip so see the magnificent southern right whales. They go around Dyer Island to view the various seabird species as well as the African penguin, Geyser Rock to have a look at the 60,000 Cape fur seals. During this trip you also visit the shark cage diving boats, and there is a 70% chance of a sighting during this trip. This is definitely a trip not to be missed!

Few other reserves offer as complete an outdoor experience as De Hoop – sea, sand dunes, the vlei, a floral sensation of rare fynbos plants, diverse antelope and the Potberg Mountains. Birders observe wading birds on the shores of the vlei while the Potberg Mountains are home to a colony of endangered Cape vultures. Hikers and cyclists have close-up encounters with bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, eland, baboons and ostrich. Activities are diverse and guests choose between various day walks through the rich fynbos plains or along the deserted coastline, or mountain biking along the many gravel roads or scenic game drives. Lazing on the beach and snorkeling in the many turquoise rock pools is simply another way to pass a rewarding day.

3 Hour Horse Ride in Wildlife Sanctuary, incl. Wine Tasting
You will enter your wildlife sanctuary (240Ha) on horseback and see zebra, springbok, eland, gemsbok, kudu, giraffe, wildebees, bontebok and a wide variety of bird life. You don’t need experience, and you can bring your older brother and younger sister because this activity is super fun for the whole family and your experienced guides are dying to help you get trotting!
