Travel to Tortuguero National Park
Early this morning a transfer will take you from San Jose to La Pavona dock (2-hour drive). The drive leads through the magnificent Braulio Carrillo National Park on the Limon Highway. Arriving at Pavona dock, you will take boat transfer from la Pavona dock to your lodge in Tortuguero approx. 1 hour.

Tortuguero National Park
After breakfast, Tortuguero National Park, You will enjoy the Wildlife-rich Tortuguero touring the navigable rainforest canals by boat. This tour will allow you the chance to see a large diversity of bird species, monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, and iguanas.
Tortuguero and its labyrinth and network of natural waterways give the visitor the opportunity to experience the true rainforest experience, the dream of exploring dense and endless jungles, full of flora and fauna without getting off the boat and walking through muddy trails.

Late afternoon enjoy Ecotermales Hot Springs (D)
Enjoy attractive tropical gardens and the natural hot springs thermal resort with mineral waters, the hot Springs with volcanically heated waters that naturally surface on the property. This evening enjoy the dinner at hot springs.

This 5 km/3 mile rainforest tour leads visitors across 10 hanging bridges in the canopy of the rainforest and boasts an incredible up-close-and-personal interaction with the flora and fauna found here. Meander the trails and bridges with a keen eye on the lookout for monkeys, butterflies, and colorful birds.
Today enjoy a delicious lunch experience at a locally owned organic farm.
La Fortuna Waterfall Hike
Today, Explore the 70-meter-high La Catarata La Fortuna on a half day walk. The walk descends to the base via 480 steps along a forested trail – offering beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities. End the walk at a “natural pool” where you can swim.
Highlights: Beautiful scenery and a majestic waterfall. A local community project. Proximity to La Fortuna. And a swimming opportunity!
