Pierella Ecological Garden Tour

Visiting Pierella is supporting a local family business that was initially established 20 years ago as a project to breed butterflies for export. Over time, it has been transformed into a five-hectare area that hosts a great diversity of environments and wildlife, morphing from a simple butterfly garden to a true ecological garden. Today the garden offers great birding trails, a butterfly farm, a cocoa tour, many samples of native and exotic tropical fruit trees, sloth watching, and some of the best traditional food of the area.
