Day 1: Entebbe

On arrival you are met by your english speaking guide and transferred to the Boma Hotel in Entebbe.

Day 2: Fort Portal

After breakfast we will depart the capital city and head west to Fort Portal, with lunch en route.

Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon and is famous for the many tea plantations you will see along the way. From this lovely town we will continue to Kibale National Park. In the evening we will join a night forest walk and go in search of the bush babies, pottos and other nocturnal animals.

Day 3: Fort Portal

Today the forest opens its doors – enjoy a morning chimp tracking and bird watching through the tropical forest. Kibale Forest has one of the greatest variety and highest concentrations of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of chimpanzees, red - tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus and many other primates . After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another , totally different nature walk. A community run initiative, the swamp is home to a great variety of birds and primates and you are expertly guided by a member of the local community.

Day 4: Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a delicious breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch relax at the pool or have a rest before going on a late afternoon game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park consists of savannah and forest in a rift valley setting. Wildlife includes elephant, lion,

leopard, spotted hyena, topi, waterbuck, Uganda kob, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and primates such as the red-tailed monkey, L’hoest’s monkey, blue monkey, black and white colobus, and the olive baboon.

Day 5: Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day begins early when we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast you have the option to visit Kyambura Wildlife Reserve for a guided chimp tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. Later we continue to the south, passing the southern sector of the national park (if road conditions allow). This part is called Ishasha and is famous for tree climbing lions. From here we transfer to Bwindi while enjoying fantastic mountain panoramic views.

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi!

Tracking the gorillas may take from an hour to eight hours depending on where the gorillas are on each particular day. But the long trek will definitely be worthwhile as you observe the gorilla family closely while they eat, play and rest for one hour. A unique and unforgettable experience!

Activities and Services

Day 8: Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast we depart the impenetrable forest of Bwindi and head to Lake Mburo National Park. As we enter the park it is likely that you will spot some wildlife. After checking in to your lodge you will enjoy a boat ride on the lake with its rich and varied bird life and the many hippos that are cooling off.

Day 9: Kampala

There will be an early start today as you head off for a nature safari walk around the lake guided by a ranger. Lake Mburo is the only National Park where you can experience a safari on foot. Return to the lodge for breakfast and with a game drive. On the way out of the park enjoy further wildlife viewing and then drive back to Kampala.

Day 10: End of Itinerary

Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Depending on your flight schedule you can join our guide on a city tour and visit some interesting and historical sites. Transfer to Entebbe Airport for your international flight home.
