After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airport, where you will catch your flight to Diego Suarez. At the airport you will meet your guide who will be with you for the next 5 days. Enjoy a short orientation tour of Diego Suarez before you will make your way to Amber Mountain National Park.



We can add on 2 nights at Andasibe-Mantadia National Park here, as a driven extension. It includes 2 nights at Eulophiella Lodge including excursions and another night in Antananarivo, at Lokanga Boutique Hotel (Price mentioned in the price section).
Full-day exploration of the Amber National Park. In the late afternoon enjoy an extra nature night walk to spot the weird nocturnal species.



Night walk at Le Domaine de Fontenay Nature Reserve
Today you will leave early and travel further east, to Ankarana National Park, home to the fascinating tsingy. It will be a long journey of about 8 hours, but you will be rewarded with great landscapes and stops at little villages, where you can make contact with the locals. You will also stop to see the Tsingy Rouge (The red tsingy), where you will have lunch (at own expense).



Full-day to explore the eastern part of Ankarana National Park. In the afternoon, transfer to Iharana, about 1h30 down south. Enjoy a nice sundowner at Ambatomiloloha scenic point.



Morning excursion to Ankarana National Park East
Afternoon visit of the tsingy plateau in Ankarana West
Morning visit of the famous Iharana Tsingy. Return to the lodge for lunchtime and enjoy some down time when it is really hot. In the late afternoon, experience the Azala E trail, including a cave and a short and easy zipline. Alternatively, go for a cycling tour in the surrounding villages.

Drive to Ambanja, and visit the Millot cocoa estate (closed on Sundays and public holidays), to understand and complete the Tana 's cocoa workshop. See here where the cocoa comes from. Then continuation to Ankify and boat transfer to Nosy Sakatia.



The plantation on the way to Ankify is a great spot to buy coffee and spices to take home.
Also, on the day of arrival, join the short afternoon walk around the lodge to see the 3 lemur species that live here and visit to the village next door which the lodge supports - this is a very good introduction activity, which does not take too long and is free of charge too.
