Day 1: Cape Town

AIRPORT TRANSFER:

Welcome to Cape Town, South Africa. A qualified Tour guide/Driver will meet you in the arrivals terminal at Cape Town International Airport. He will be holding your name board easy identification. Once contact has been made you will be assisted with your luggage and escorted to the awaiting vehicle. Soon you will be transferred to your hotel in Cape Town and surrounding areas. Should you require any assistance with local Simcards, Airtime, Foreign Exchange, etc., please speak to your tour guide/driver directly and he will be delighted to assist you. We wish you a pleasant stay in Cape Town, South Africa.

Day 2: Cape Town

FULL DAY ROBBEN ISLAND, TABLE MOUNTAIN AND CITY TOUR:

You will be picked up at their accommodation in Cape Town at 8:00am by a qualified tour guide/driver and transfer to the ferry departure point for the Nelson Mandela Gateway – at the Clocktower Precinct in the V & A Waterfront. Your tour guide/driver will not be accompanying you on the boat or at the island as there will be a sight guide on the island who will give you a guided tour. At 9:00am, board the ferry boat to set sail to Robben Island. The entire tour takes up to 3.5 hours including ferry journey times. Upon reaching the island, disembark at Murray’s Bay Harbour and take a brief walk to the bus that will transport you around the island. A former political prisoner will give you a site tour, including a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell. After the tour, return to the Clocktower Precinct at the V&A Waterfront at approximately 12:30, where you will meet your tour guide/driver. After an optional lunch the tour guide will return to collect you from the restaurant and escort you to the awaiting vehicle.

Then it is time for your second half of the tour route - the Cape Town City tour. Begin in the heart of the city in Adderley street where you will view historical monuments like Bartholomew Dias, Jan van Riebeeck and Zackarias Waganaer Reservoir. Thereafter see some heritage museums like the Slave Lodge and Cape Castle. View the City Hall and the Company Gardens and proceed past the House of Parliament. Stop at the Bokaap where you will see the famous Colourful houses in the Cape Quarter and stop to take some photos and greet the locals if they are in sight. An optional stop at Afrogem will be offered to witness the production of fine African jewelry with a focus on rich gold, platinum, diamonds and tanzanite. Guests will be able to walk the working factory floor and purchase the jewelry directly. Proceed to the top of Signal Hill to admire the view of the City Bowl area including the Cape Town Stadium. Thereafter, take the cable car up to the top of Table Mountain to explore this unique piece of nature. Upon your return from Table Mountain Guests will be dropped off at their accommodation after the tour between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm.

 

Robben Island

Day 3: Cape Town

FULL DAY CAPE PENINSULA PRIVATE TOUR:

You will be picked up at your accommodation at 9:00am by your Tour guide/driver and embark on a memorable private Cape Town excursion. We will travel along the Atlantic Seaboard, with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other and pass through Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. We will have a photo stop at Maiden's Cove. From there we proceed past the 12 Apostles mountain range and Llandudno, and have our next stop in Hout Bay. Here guests can take a boat to Seal island to view the Seals. Upon our return from Seal Island we will proceed along Chapmans Peak drive, with an option of stopping at Cape Point Vineyard, known as the masters in producing the best white wines in South Africa. Ask for their flagship Sauvignon Blanc during your wine tasting and you will not be disappointed. You can also have a light lunch there. From there, we proceed through Noordhoek with the option of stopping for the finest roasted coffee at The Village Roast on this route. We proceed to Boulder's Beach to see the endangered African Penguins colony in their natural habitat. We then continue to the monument of Just Nuisance, the Great Dane dog who made his own history in the South African Navy in Simon's Town. Our next stop will be at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point Lighthouse. Please wear comfortable shoes and always bring a jacket. Ask your expert Cape Point tour guide to guide you along the safe hiking trails, should you be a keen hiker. Lunch can be enjoyed at a restaurant of your choice. Ask your Personal Driver/guide for recommendations. Once in the Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve, we explore the Dias cross and some fauna and flora and see the meeting point of the 2 currents: the cold Benguela Current and the warm Agulhas Current. You may also encounter some baboons and other wildlife. We advise our guests not to get too close to the Baboons and avoid feeding them as these are wild animals and can therefore be dangerous. Our return route is passing through Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenburg, via the Old Cape Road. You will be dropped off at your accommodation after the tour .

Day 4: Cape Town

FULL DAY FAMILY FUN IN THE CAPE WINELANDS TOUR:

Pick up at guests hotel at 9:00am and travel along the N2 towards Stellenbosch. We stop at the Clay Pigeon Adventure farm where we will enjoy an exciting activity of Clay Pigeon shooting. Each person will get 10 shots. Then we proceed to Simonsig Wine estate for our first wine tasting of the day. Simonsig was the first wine estate to produce MCC in South Africa, which is the South African version of Champagne. It is called MCC because we are not allowed to call Champagne by this french name, as Champagne can only be grown in France.

Next we travel to the town of Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch is one of the oldest towns in South Africa and is home to the Stellenbosch University. We receive a town orientation tour. We are now on route to Spier wine estate for wine tasting, lunch and an exciting Eagle Encounter. Spier has a beautiful lawn and if it is a nice day, we encourage guests to enjoy a picnic on the lawn. Prepared picnic baskets can be pre-ordered or you can make up your own by purchasing deliscious items from the Deli at Spier.

We end off the day at the Cheetah Outreach centre and enjoy an encounter with the Cheetahs for 1-hour. Thereafter guests will be transferred to their accommodation in Cape Town.

Day 5: Mossel Bay

GARDEN ROUTE PRIVATE TOUR:

We will collect you from your Accommodation at 07h00am by a qualified Tour guide/driver and travel along the scenic N2 towards Cape Agulhus. We will pass through small Towns like Grabouw and Caledon. This is the wheat growing region of the Cape.  Guests may choose between boat based whale watching or land based whale watching.

Should you choose boat based whale watching: Upon our arrival in Hermanus at the New Harbor, you will be briefed by an experienced qualified whale watching specialist about these ocean giants. Their lives, life spam, behavior, etc. You will then board a modern boat with toilet facilities on board. You will embark on a 2 to 3 hour sea excursion, searching for the whales in the ocean. As soon as a whale is spotted, the skipper will stop the boat so that everyone can see these amazing sea creatures up closely. As the time goes by, the skipper and crew members will try to spot more whales to maximize a full whale watching experience. Many other marine life have been spotted on different Whale watching tours in Hermanus, such as the Humpback whales, killer whales, great whites sharks, dolphins, African penguins, Cape fur seals, orchards etc. Once this amazing private whale watching has come to an end, your personal guide/driver will take you to the town centre of Hermanus. 

Then we proceed to The Cape Agulhus, which is the Southern most tip of Africa and is also the official meeting point of the the 2 Oceans: Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Here you would be able to stand with your one foot in the Indian and the other foot in the Atlantic Ocean.

From there we will travel to Mossel Bay where guests will overnight.

Day 6: Oudtshoorn

GARDEN ROUTE PRIVATE TOUR:

Guests will be picked up at their accommodation at the agreed time after breakfast and check out. We explore the town of Mossel Bay and some historical monuments. Then we travel to Zorgfontein to Walk with the Lions. Please note that this activity requires a minimum height of 1.5M. It is completely safe as you will be accompanied by experienced game rangers. Then we travel to Oudtshoorn - the Ostrich Capital of South Africa. Here we visit the Safari Ostrich showfarm for an encounter with the largest bird in the world. Thereafter we check in at our accommodation and relax and freshen up before dinner time. The tour guide will be available for dinner transfers.

Day 7: Plettenberg Bay

GARDEN ROUTE PRIVATE TOUR:

Guests will be picked up at their accommodation before sunrise (pick up time will be communicated to guests atleast 24 hours before the time). We travel to De Zeekoe Farm where we will embark on an excursion to see the Meerkats come out of their holes and do their morning routine. This experience is weather permitting as Meerkats do not venture out of their holes in cold rainy weather condition. The excursion duration is 2 - 3 hous. Thereafter we proceed to Plettenberg Bay via Sedgefield, Wilderness, Knysna. We check in at our accommodation in Plettenberg Bay and relax and freshen up before dinner time. The tour guide will be available for dinner transfers.

Day 8: Plettenberg Bay

GARDEN ROUTE PRIVATE TOUR:

We wake up in the JEWEL of the Garden Route - Plettenberg Bay! Today guests will be collected by their tour guide driver at the agreed time. We explore the Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Tsitsikamma areas, i.e.: Walk with the Elephants at the Elephant Sanctuary in the Crags. The tour guide will be available for dinner transfers.

Day 9: Plettenberg Bay

GARDEN ROUTE PRIVATE TOUR:

Guests will be picked up by their tour guide/driver at the agreed time in Plettenberg Bay. We continue to explore the Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Tsitsikamma areas, i.e.: Tsitsikamma Forest to Walk on the suspension bridge for 900M and Kayaking adventure in the Storms River. The tour guide will be available for dinner transfers.

Day 10: Ngala Private Game Reserve

Today guests will be transferred from Whalesong Hotel Spa to Plettenberg Bay airport. They will fly from Plettenberg Bay to OR Tambo International Airport. 

Day 11: Ngala Private Game Reserve

Guests are away at Ngala Lodge.

Day 12: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Today guests will be transferred from Ngala Lodge to Elephant Plains Game Lodge, where guests will spend the following 2 nights.

Day 13: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Guests are away at Elephant Plains.
