Day 1 – Arrival in Windhoek
Your guide welcomes you upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport. Transfer to your historic hilltop hotel overlooking the city. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before joining your guide for a welcome dinner at one of Windhoek’s finest restaurants.

Day 2 – Into the Kalahari Desert
Depart Windhoek and travel south via Rehoboth and Kalkrand to the vast Kalahari Desert. This spectacular semi-desert landscape is defined by red dunes, camelthorn trees, and golden grasses. In the late afternoon, experience a sundowner nature drive through the dunes and enjoy the magical colours of sunset.

Day 3 – To the Namib Desert
Continue west through the Tsarisberg Pass into the Namib Desert. The scenery transforms into open plains and distant mountain ranges as you approach your elegant lodge, situated within a private nature reserve bordering the Namib-Naukluft Park. Spend the afternoon relaxing or take an optional nature walk in the surrounding wilderness.

Day 4 – Sossusvlei and Deadvlei
Rise before sunrise for a memorable excursion into the Namib-Naukluft Park. Explore the magnificent dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, where early morning light paints the sands in rich hues of red and gold. Stroll across the white clay pan surrounded by fossilised trees and towering dunes. On your way back, visit Sesriem Canyon, carved by the Tsauchab River over centuries.

Day 5 – To Swakopmund
Drive north across the desert plains, passing the dramatic Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons and the vast gravel plains of the Namib. Arrive in the charming coastal town of Swakopmund, where the desert meets the ocean. Dinner this evening is arranged at one of the town’s excellent restaurants.

Day 6 – Swakopmund and Walvis Bay
After breakfast, travel to nearby Walvis Bay for a catamaran cruise in the lagoon, where seals, pelicans, dolphins, and flamingos accompany the boat. In the afternoon, take part in a Living Desert Tour, discovering the fascinating creatures that thrive among the dunes – including chameleons, geckos, and sidewinder snakes.

Day 7 – Erongo Mountains

Day 8 – Etosha National Park (South)
Continue north to Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. Your lodge is located in a private reserve bordering the park and offers superb views across the plains. In the afternoon, embark on your first guided game drive, keeping watch for elephants, zebras, lions, and giraffes.

Day 9 – Etosha National Park (Central Region)
Spend a full day exploring Etosha with game drives in open 4x4 vehicles. The park’s numerous waterholes attract a rich variety of wildlife – elephants, wildebeest, springboks, and predators such as lions and cheetahs. Return to your lodge for sundowners overlooking the savannah.

Day 10 – Etosha National Park (East)
Travel across Etosha from the southern to the eastern region, stopping at well-known waterholes along the way. Your experienced guide will ensure excellent wildlife sightings throughout the day. Exit through the Von Lindequist Gate and continue to your charming lodge just outside the park.

Day 11 – Okonjima Nature Reserve
After breakfast, drive south via Tsumeb and Otjiwarongo to the Okonjima Nature Reserve, home of the AfriCat Foundation. This private 22,000-hectare reserve is dedicated to the protection of leopards and other large carnivores. In the afternoon, join a leopard-tracking activity – an unforgettable highlight of your journey.

Day 12 – Okonjima Nature Reserve

Day 13 – Omaanda Lodge / Windhoek Region
