After your arrival at Cape Town International Airport Bush Whisper will hand over your vehicle. Then you drive to Cactusberry Lodge in a suburb in Cape Town’s city center. You can then relax, explore the city on foot or take a stroll on the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay for a sundowner. You will overnight at the Cactusberry Lodge.
Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it is often compared to San Francisco. Historical architecture, museums, Table Mountain and its forested slopes, the beautiful beaches and fresh air enchants adventure seekers and cultural buffs. You have two days to explore Table Mountain, walk up Lion’s Head, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, the beaches of Blouberg or Camps Bay, Cape Point, Simon’s Town, Robben Island or just sit in a coffee shop or park and watch the locals. You will spend two more nights at the Cactusberry Lodge.
Internet research. Traveler forums like TripAdvisor, the US and UK government advisories and popular Africa travel blogs (like this one!) make it quick and easy to find out what’s happening where.
Contextualize the headlines. High crime rates can taint an entire country but iconic destinations like Cape Town and the Masai Mara are among the safest places to visit: take a stroll along Cape Town’s Atlantic promenade one summer’s evening and you’ll see what I mean.
Be sensible: Don’t take photographs at border crossings or of government buildings and adopt a positive attitude when dealing with uniformed authorities. Take advantage of on-the-ground information - your hotel concierge and tour guide are there to help.
Be respectful: Treat places with religious or cultural sensitivities, such as Zanzibar or the Maasai homelands, with the same respect you expect of tourists in your neighborhood. Avoid taking intrusive photographs of people and dress appropriately in religious settings. Appropriate dress for men and women in these religious regions is clothing that covers the knees and elbows, closes up to the collarbone. For the woman with long hair, it's often considered appropriate to tie your hair back or simply tuck it into a hat.

Hermanus is South Africa’s whale hotspot between June and November when the southern right whales visit the shores. Walk along the Cliff Path and look for the fountains of spray emitted from whales as they surface to breathe. Outside the whale season, the region offers spectacular walks along the coast and into the nearby forests. You will spend one night at the FrancolinHof Guest House with beautiful views over Walker Bay.
One whale watching safari is included per person.
In addition to the above, Hermanus has many interesting shops and weekly markets which sell local produce and specialty products while other markets sell local arts and crafts. The many restaurants in Hermanus cater to a variety of tastes and budgets.

Today you leave your BB and your route takes us along the coast through Stanford, Cape Agulhas (the southernmost point of the African continent) to Arniston. Arniston is known for its coastline. Even though the beaches are not generally safe for swimming, take the time for a long walk along the coast, looking for shells or trying to spot the rare black oystercatcher. In season it is also a great spot to watch whales frolicking in the surf.

Addo Elephant Park, just outside Port Elizabeth, is home to one of the densest elephant populations on earth as well as rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard. Now South Africa's third-largest national reserve, Addo Elephant National Park lies in the malaria-free Sundays River valley in the Eastern Cape, just over an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth and 9 hours drive from Cape Town (817km).
The Park stretches from the semi-arid karoo of the north, over the Zuurberg Mountains and down through the Sundays River valley to the coast, to between the mouths of the Sundays and Bushman's rivers.
Addo is home to one of the densest African Elephant populations on earth, roughly 550 of them. They once roamed the entire continent. By 1979 there were only 1.3 million African elephants left, and in 1989 they were added to the international list of the most endangered species, with only sixteen left in the Greater Addo area.

Meercat Tour Included.
The most popular of our activities we offer are without a doubt the daily wild habituated meerkat tours. These tours that commence only at sunrise are dependent on fair weather since these little creatures will not venture outside their burrows on cold and rainy days. (No tours on rainy days & Christmas day).
The meerkat tours last between 2-3 hours and booking is essential. Upon arrival at the meerkat burrows, guests are treated to a hot cup of coffee, after which they are issued with a lightweight aluminum chair to sit in while observing the meerkats as they come out of the burrow into the sunshine and then go about their daily routine of foraging and frolicking. These habituated wild animals are never fed or handled by humans.
