KRUGER NP VILANCULOS TOUR

On arrival at the Nelspruit Airport you will be picked up and transferred to the Hotel.. Check in rest and relax until you are picked up at 14h00 for the sunset game drive in the Kruger National Park. This is a three hour game drive just to get you to settle in preparation for the  full day safari the next day. You will be back at the hotel after sunset. 

Own dinner arrangements at the Hotel

Kruger Park is massive. It covers an area of 20 000 square kilometres (2 million hectares) which makes it the same size as Israel. The Park is 360 kilometres long and 65 kilometres wide. This is one place where one can easily spot a leopard in its natural habitat, stumble upon a pride of lion slumbering beneath anthills or come face to face with the earthly majesty of an elephant, brace yourself for one of the best African Safari experience. 

Today you will do a full day safari in this great park using the Numbi Gate . Early starts are recommended but you may arrange your convenient time with your guide as this will be a private tour.  You will be back at the Hotel at around 16h00

Kruger National Park is well-known for its boundless opportunities to spot the famous African Big Five - Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and of course Lion. Start your day early with an exciting open vehicle game drive and stopover at a peaceful, scenic picnic spot or a Rest Camp where you can get something to eat before setting off to explore more of the Kruger National Park.

Another full day experience and hopefully by today you will have encountered the big five of the Kruger.

Today you will not visit the park but explore the Mpumalanga highlands, or the north-eastern section of the Great Escarpment of the Drakensberg. In these rugged mountains, the plateau comes to an abrupt and dramatic halt, falling steeply away into the Lowveld accompanied by incredible views out over the grasslands of Africa.

You will do a full day tour of this area where you will visit the God`s window, the three Roundavels lookout, the Blayde River Canyon and the Lisbon and Berlin Falls.

Departure is at 08h00 and you will be back at the hotel at 16h00

This day you will do a half day of the panorama route  and have the rest of the afternoon free for shopping for gifts,  just relax by the hotel or take some optional tours (own account) 

Transfer to the Nelspruit Airport for the flight to Vilanculos

On arrival at Vilanculos Airport the hotel will do the transfers

You will arrive in Vilanculos in the afternoon and you may take this time to relax and organize your activities for the days to come 

BAZARUTO ISLAND - TWO MILE REEF
Two Mile Reef is world renowned for it’s
underwater paradise in ‘The Aquarium’ – a few
kilometers off the shores of Bazaruto Island. It
is perfect for snorkeling day trips, as it is easily
reached from the mainland. After exploring the
marine world beneath the surface, we travel to
Bazaruto Island and climb the world famous
Bazaruto dune with epic views over the
Archipelago. We will then head over to
Benguerra Island away from all the crowds to
where a freshly prepared fish BBQ will awaiting
you.
 

 This tour can be done on private or shared basis 

 Departs at 0800hrs and returns at 1600hrs

PARADISE ISLAND
Also known as Santa Carolina, is the only
completely deserted island in the Bazaruto
Archipelago, boasting an old abandoned hotel
dating back to the early 1950’s. It is said that
Elton John and many famous artists came here
in it’s hay day to find inspiration for their works.
Bob Dylan wrote his song ‘Mozambique’ in the
restaurant of the hotel a few decades back.
The reefs surrounding Santa Carolina offer
some of the best snorkeling in the Archipelago.
As the tide pushes in around the shores of the
island, it brings with it many amazing turtles
playing in the currents.
After some snorkeling and island exploring, a
freshly cooked lunch on open fire is served in a
catered shady spot and guests can relax,
enjoying the last rays of afternoon sun on the
palm lined beaches before heading home.
 

This day you may choose to do a scenic helicopter flight over the Archipelago . The flights are only in the morning or late afternoon as the helicopters are also used for transfer purposes.

You may also have the afternoon free just to relax by the beach

Vilankulo and Mozambique, Faquiri is the best

market, church, orphanage and will tell you all
about the interesting history of this special
place.

There are a number of craft shopping options
around the area: the market is the place to
purchase capolana’s (local patterned fabric).
Other bancas (local sales) have amazing
handcraft gifts. Please ask our guides or
reception to help you.
If you don't have the time to explore these
special bancas then just visit our local shop
where you can only find Mozambican
souvenirs.

This is your last day in Vilanculos . You are advised to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight.
