Tongasoa in Madagascar! 

Arrival at Ivato international airport. You will be met at the airport by our team and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival, your travel designer in Madagascar will meet you at the hotel for a general briefing on your stay and activities. In the event of a late flight, the briefing will take place tomorrow.

After breakfast (and a briefing on your stay), you'll begin your journey by taking the RN2 to Andasibe. Along the way, you'll stop at Marozevo, home to the Peyrieras Reserve. Madagascar Exotic Park is a small private reserve located in Marozevo, on Route Nationale 2, 75 km east of Antananarivo. It was founded by French entomologist and naturalist André Peyriéras. The collection includes numerous reptiles, batrachians, crocodiles and butterflies. The nearby forests are home to families of Verreaux's sifakas and brown lemurs, which have been introduced to this environment. 

Arriving in Andasibe and settling into our hotel, we'll visit the private Vakôna Forest Reserve. Visiting the Vakôna Reserve is an opportunity to observe lemurs up close in their natural habitat, including the famous Indri lemurs, distinguished by their loud calls and black-and-white coats.

Early morning visit to Analamazaotra National Park. 
Analamazaotra covers some 810 hectares and is an integral part of the Andasibe-Mantadia nature reserve complex. It is particularly famous for being home to the indri, Madagascar's largest lemur, known for its distinctive calls and impressive leaps from branch to branch. In addition to the indri, the reserve is home to several other species of lemur, such as the golden bamboo lemur, the rufous-bellied lemur and the diademed sifaka. The park's fauna is not limited to lemurs. There is also a wide variety of birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects. Botany enthusiasts will be delighted by the park's rich and varied flora, which includes many endemic plant species, from wild orchids to tree ferns. The park offers several well-marked hiking trails, allowing visitors to explore the evergreen forest and discover its natural wonders.

After the visit, you'll head back to the town of Manambato, nestled on the shores of the great Lake Rasoabe. Once there, you'll be picked up for a boat transfer to Akanin'ny nofy. 

Akanin'ny Nofy, which means “nest of dreams” in Malagasy, is a veritable paradise on Madagascar's east coast. Nestling on the banks of the Canal des Pangalanes, between the Indian Ocean and Lake Ampitabe, this magical place is a popular destination for nature lovers and travellers in search of tranquillity.

In the morning, you'll visit the Palmarium private reserve.
The Palmarium Reserve is renowned for its incredible diversity of lemurs. Visitors have the chance to observe several species, including the red-bellied lemur, sifaka, indri and the famous nocturnal aye-aye. These often inquisitive and fearless lemurs can be approached at close quarters, offering exceptional opportunities for interaction. The reserve's vegetation is equally impressive. Well-marked hiking trails allow you to discover a variety of endemic plants, such as the traveler palm, emblematic of Madagascar, wild orchids and many other tropical species. 

In the afternoon, departure for the village of Andranokoditra, on the other side of the river. This village will win you over with its quiet charm and the warmth of its inhabitants. Take a stroll through the village, discover its traditional dwellings and observe the local way of life. The villagers will be delighted to share their daily lives, customs and traditions with you.

After exploring the wonders of Akanin'ny Nofy, your next stop takes you to new horizons along Madagascar's waterways. You'll leave Akanin'ny Nofy with a boat transfer to the river port of Toamasina. On this cruise, you'll have the opportunity to admire the picturesque landscapes of the Pangalanes Canal while enjoying the gentle sea breeze.

On arrival in Toamasina, your driver will be waiting to take you to your next destination: Mahambo, one of the most beautiful villages on the east coast. The drive to Mahambo will allow you to appreciate the varied panoramas and traditional villages that line the coastal road. Mahambo welcomes you with its peaceful atmosphere and palm-fringed golden sand beaches.

It's time to continue your adventure to an enchanting destination: Sainte Marie Island. Your next stop takes you aboard a boat that will sail through the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean, offering you breathtaking views of the Malagasy coastline.
