Your South African adventure starts when arriving in Cape Town.  Upon arrival you will be met by our representative who will hand over your Travel File and transfer you to your lovely hotel which will be your home for the next 3 nights.

Explore majestic Table Mountain!  Pick up at 09:00

After breakfast you enjoy a trip to majestic Table Mountain.

Situated below Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head, Cape Town offers a rich cultural and colonial heritage, grand splendour and an assurance of activity of excitement. Including all the `must-sees ‘of any Cape Town day tour, this option is a geographical and cultural extravaganza, showing you Cape Town, from its historical beginnings of yesteryear to the dazzling modern buildings of today.

We commence with a cable car trip up the legendary Table Mountain for spectacular views of the Mother City and the surrounding peninsula. (weather permitting). 

There is a wide variety of birds and animals on the mountain. Sit quietly in a secluded spot and you are guaranteed to see some of the interesting fauna that lives here, especially more common endemics like dassies. Table Mountain is part of a World Heritage Site and home to a unique yet endangered plant diversity known as fynbos. Join us for a free guided walk to learn more about the fauna and flora. These walks are offered on the hour from 9h00 – 15h00 and depart from the Twelve Apostles Terrace (below the Shop at the Top and the Table Mountain Café).

Afterwards we return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter. Go for a walk through the Company Gardens, home to the South African Museum, Houses of Parliament, National Gallery and St George's Cathedral.

The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy some time at the V & A Waterfront 

Explore Cape Point Nature Reserve! Pick up at 09:00

Today, we head to the fishing village of Hout Bay. On the way, we will pass by Sea Point, Bantry Bay, and Clifton. You will also see Bakoven and Llandudno, with their ghostly shipwrecks. Take in these fantastic views even before you have reached your destination! Once you arrive in Hout Bay, you embark on a boat trip to enjoy the view of the Cape fur seal colony on Duiker Island. From there, navigate the 114 curves of 600m-high Chapman's Peak Drive.

Afterward, explore the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park, home to fabulous birds and very special fauna. Then, climb to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse to capture the magical vistas of False Bay.

Before going back to your hotel, stop by to visit Boulders Beach to see the penguins.

Continue to the breath-taking Winelands! Pick up at 09:30

After a glorious breakfast you will be transferred to Franschhoek Valley.

Nestled between towering mountains in the beautiful Cape winelands lies the magnificent Franschhoek Valley. This is the food and wine heartland of the country, where splendid wines are grown and our top chefs create international cuisine. Here breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world class cuisine and the finest wines all combine to create lasting memories.

Boasting views of the mountains and an outdoor pool, Le Petit Paris offers accommodation within 300 m of Franschhoek's main street. Lavender walkways, water fountains and lush gardens add to the tranquil atmosphere of this guest house.

The Franschhoek Wine Tram hop-on hop-off tour is one of the best ways to discover the true essence of the Franschhoek Valley – picturesque vineyards, breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, fine wines and a 300-year history.

Passengers aboard the hop-on hop-off tour will experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Franschhoek Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards in a vintage style railway tram and open-air tram-bus stopping in at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates.

A combination of tram and tram-bus transports passengers around a loop of stops allowing them to hop-off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, be it wine tasting, a cellar tour, lunch or simply a stroll through the vineyards and when they are ready, hop-on to continue the tour.

The tour takes passengers right into the heart of the Franschhoek Valley, with a narration focusing on the history of Franschhoek and wine cultivation in the valley and unparalleled views of the valley and vineyards.

Your ultimate safari experience awaits you! Pick up at 08:00

After breakfast and check out you will be transferred to the Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit. (Flight depart Cape Town at 10:50 and arrive in Nelspruit at 13:20). Upon arrival you will be met by your driver and transferred to your luxury safari lodge where you will be staying for 3 nights.

Arrive in time for lunch and your afternoon game drive

After an exhilarating day of game viewing, guests can plunge into the cool depths of the sparkling infinity pool, which overlooks a nearby waterhole. Adventures include fantastic game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles and guided nature walks with an armed ranger.

The camp is situated in a region famous for its leopard sightings, with several that wander through the camp on occasion, so you are sure to encounter these shy cats while on game drives. 

Arathusa prides itself on its leopard viewing. As these elusive cats are territorial, their regular appearance in the area enables us to plot their movements, and to observe their behaviour. Many of the animals become familiar and are easily recognised. Approximately 14 leopards are seen in the area in which Elephant Plains operates, six of which are seen on a regular basis.

There are also a number of different lion prides in the area, as well as a few nomadic males.

Over 90% of guests will experience sightings of The Big Five – very often in one day, and sometimes on one drive!

Within the lodge itself, guests will often see the resident bushbuck and nyala roaming between the Luxury Suites, or perhaps elephants drinking from the more remote Suites’s private splash pools. Hornbills may tap on their reflections in the windows, while the cry of the fisheagle signals its presence as it searches for prey.

This region is a bird-watcher’s mecca, and a few of the rarer birds are seen from the lodge itself. One such example is the Horus Swift.

Explore the spectacular Panorama Route!  Pick up at 10:00

After your final morning game drive and breakfast you will be met by your guide to enjoy a half day Panorama Route Tour.   The Panorama Route Tour is a spectacular route which is set high on the towering Drakesberg Mountain range. Perhaps the most famous part of the route is the section along the Blyde River Canyon, the canyon is one of the biggest in the world. You will also enjoy sites such as Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes and the three Rondawels.

After lunch (own account), you will be transferred to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Aiport for your flight to Johannesburg where you will be staying for the night. (Flight depart Nelspruit at 18:30 and arrive in Johannesburg at 19:25).

Fly to spectacular Mauritius!  Pick up at 06:30

After breakfast and check out your will be transferred to the ORT International Airport for your flight to Mauritius.  (Flight departs at 09:55 and arrives in Mauritius at 16:05).
