DAY 1 - ONE NIGHT IN EDINBURGH
Arriving in Edinburgh you will stay of your first night at the Hotel Scotsman, located in the former newspaper offices in the centre of the city.
DAY 2 - DEPART EDINBURGH FOR THE HIGHLANDS
Belmond Royal Scotsman departs Edinburgh Waverley Station and heads north through Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl as passengers enjoy afternoon tea. A whisky tasting on board marks your passage into the Highlands where the scenery becomes more dramatic, before dinner is served in one of the two dining cars as you arrive in Boat of Garten.
DAY 3 - ROTHIEMURCHUS ESTATE, CULLODEN BATTLEFIELD & STRATHISLA DISTILLERY
Start the day with a hearty Scottish breakfast, perhaps including traditional porridge with a wee dram, or a plate of Arbroath Smokies. After breakfast there will be a visit to Rothiemurchus Estate where you can lend your hand to clay pigeon shooting or fishing, or enjoy a guided tour of the estate followed by refreshments in the hunting lodge. In the afternoon you will continue to the Culloden Battlefield, and then arrive at a traditional Highland distillery for an evening tasting. A formal dinner is served as you head south to Dundee this evening.
DAY 4 - DUNDEE TO EDINBURGH
After breakfast on board you will return to Edinburgh across the magnificent Forth Railway Bridge.
