Arrive San Jose, Costa Rica. After clearing Immigration you will proceed to baggage claim and then go through Customs before exiting the arrival terminal where you will be met by a lodge representative, who will transfer you to the Hilton Garden Inn La Sabana, and discuss with you the pick-up time and place for the next day.
Remainder of day is at your leisure.



There are many excellent dining option in San Jose, so, please just ask the front desk, or better yet, one of the doormen as they are your best go to for anything you might want or need to know. If you do not feel like going anywhere, no worries, there are a few dining options on the hotel grounds.
On the second day of the trip you should plan to be in the hotel lobby and ready to go by 4:30am.
A resort representative will meet you and provide transportation to the domestic airport for the commercial flight to Puerto Jimenez.
Since this is a small plane, the baggage requirement is no more than 30 pounds per person. This policy is strictly enforced and the airline will charge $1.00 per pound for overages.
Upon arrival in Puerto Jimenez, you will be met and transferred to Crocodile Bay where hotel manager Diego Oviedo will assist you in getting situated in your rooms and down to breakfast before heading out to fish.
Your boat will be fully stocked with lunch, drinks and tackle on board.
At first light you will be up for breakfast, either in the main dining room, or around the pool.
After breakfast, you will head down to the dock to board your boat for a full day of fishing. The lodge does have a system for keeping live bait on hand and ready to be put in your live bait well on board, as they will fish for bait in the evenings and then stock their small holding pen. You might need to take the early part of the morning to catch bait, as often they are very sensitive and do not survive for any extended period of time in our holding pens.
Your captain will have your boat equipped for a full day on the water including tackle, lunch and drinks on board.
You will fish until approximately 3:00pm and then head back to the dock. You will have time to relax around the pool with a cool drink from their well stocked bar. Evening meals are not included in your trip fee and will be on your own so you might just want to relax and dine at the resort or check out one of the numerous options in nearby Puerto Jimenez. These are full fishing days, heading out just before 7:00am and back at the dock by approximately 3:30pm.
