Your adventure starts with an overnight flight from the US to Buenos Aires, Argentina (BA). Trek Safaris will be glad to help with all airfare associated with this program.
Arriving in BA this morning, a Trek rep will be on hand to meet you and transfer you across town to the domestic airport (AEP) to connect with your flight to Bariloche. You will arrive in Bariloche this afternoon and a member of Algar Safaris will be waiting for your arrival. He will help with you bags and transfer you about 1 1/2 hours north to Algar Lodge. This afternoon you will have a chance to unwind and sight your rifles.
Today is a full hunting day at Algar. You will enjoy a full breakfast before heading out around daylight (7am) for the morning’s hunt and mostly glass areas where stag are known to roam. The morning hunt will usually last until around 11am upon which you will either have a packed lunch or head back to the lodge for a full lunch. If you are stalking a stag, we will continue to hunt until you have taken the stag as lunch will not interrupt your hunt. The afternoon hunt will get underway around 3 pm and continue until dusk. We will use the same tactics for the afternoon as the morning hunt with more stalking and glassing. Should you take your stag early, Algar offers many other animals (fallow & axis deer, Pierre David’s deer, boar and many ram & sheep) should you choose to try your hand at taking a trophy. You will be able to pay the lodge directly for these at the end of your hunt.
This will be your second full day hunting.
This will be your third full day hunting.
This will be your fourth full day hunting.
This will be your fifth and final day hunting.
While there is no hunting planned this day; we will depart back to Bariloche around mid-morning to check in for the flight back to BA. A Trek rep will again meet you and transfer you across town to check in for your overnight flight home departing from the international airport (EZE).
