Our Algar Safaris Red Stag hunts take place about 70 miles north of the town of Bariloche. Our hunting area covers some 60,000 privately owned acres of both free range and trophy estate hunting. This is some of the most beautiful land anywhere in the world with scenic and hilly terrain surrounded by streams. You will find the country very vast and open, making it easy to spot game from high vantage points. Red stag hunting season goes from the beginning of March up to the end of June with hunting dates consisting of five full days of hunt, six nights at the ranch.
We suggest being in good physical condition to enjoy the most this hunt has to offer. You should see a number of trophies during your hunts with the expert guides suggesting if one is a shooter or not. The decision to pass or shoot is truly excruciating, as you know that there could be another larger stag right around the corner.
Trek Safaris has established a unique contract with Algar to provide a 100% no size limit, free range hunt with no hidden trophy fees. Should you care to take other animals during your hunt, Algar has the following species: Red Stag, Fallow Deer, Pere David's Deer, Axis Deer, Mouflon Sheep, Hybrid Sheep, Somali Ram, Black JacobĀ“s Ram, Patagonian Dall, Patagonian Ram, Multi-horned Sheep, Wild Goat, Russian wild boar, Scottish Black Face. Should you take any other species you will be responsible for trophy fees and licenses payable to Algar Safaris at the end of your hunt (checks accepted).
