Depart Johannesburg 07:45 [check-in 05:45 latest!!!]
Upon arrival in Lusaka at 09:45, you will be met and assisted by a representative from Memorable Journeys. We have arranged access to the lounge in the domestic terminal for 3 hrs, it is $10 per 3 hours if you want to stay longer. Your flight to the Lower Zambezi departs at 15:00. Check-in latest 14:00, but sometimes the flight leaves earlier if everyone is ready - so please keep in touch with the check-in staff.
On arrival at Jeki airstrip, you will be met and transferred to camp.
Spend the next few days exploring the Zambezi River and Lower Zambezi National Park on game drives, boat trips and walks. You do only have two full days here with the flight schedules [you leave early on departure] so make the most of the two days. You will do plenty of walking at Mwaleshi so I would focus on game drives and boat safaris here.

Tipping your Safari Guide & other Service Providers in Africa
Tipping your guide/s or staff is usually considered customary in Africa but is always at your discretion, and only if you are totally satisfied. It is a delicate and sensitive issue and many people look for guidelines.
Generally you would only tip at the end of your stay, on departure or final game drive. If you have an envelope, you can place the tip in that and give it to the relevant person/s.
We have quoted USD below, simply because it is a universal currency however all major currencies (Euro, GBP, USD) are accepted as well as local currency like Rands in SA or Namibian Dollars in Namibia. There is no need to exchange to local currency if you have foreign currencies.
Here's what we suggest as a minimum, you are welcome to give us much as you like:
- Transfer drivers: USD 2 - 5 per transfer
- Lodge guides or city guides on full day trips: USD 15 per traveller per day
- Trackers: USD 5 per traveller per day
Lodge staff: the easiest way to tip the lodge's cooks, housekeepers and porters is to use the staff tipping box - the contents of which are shared - at the end of your stay. Work on USD 15 per traveller per day. If there is someone who has really stood out and provided excellent service, you may want to tip him or her separately - simply put your tip in an envelope with the person's name on it or pass it on via the camp manager.
It is worth considering your tips at home and preparing to have enough smaller denominations of whatever currency you plan to use – change and smaller notes are unlikely to be available in remote parts of Africa.

27 Sep. From the Lower Zambezi, fly to the South Luangwa with Proflight, departing at 08:35 and arrive at 10:05. You will be met and transferred to camp, it is a 90 minute transfer but mostly inside the park or reserve areas.
You have 4 nights here to discover this park on game drives and walks. You can also visit the local village [Mkasanga] where many staff are from and which the camp supports.

01 Oct, fly from South Luangwa to North Luangwa with Remote Africa Safaris Airwing, departure times and transfers will be given to you the day before.
North Luangwa is more remote and has very few camps, wildlife is wild here - there are few roads in this area and the majority of activities are done on foot, following existing animal trails.

Today you fly back to Mfuwe with Remote Africa Safaris Airwing - they will let you know what time you will depart camp.
Proflight from Mfuwe departs at 08:40 to Lusaka and lands at 09.50
Depart 10.35 and arriving Livingstone at11:45.
Upon arrival in Livingstone, you will be met by the lodge driver dressed in a pink Waterberry shirt at the main terminal door holding a name board.
Once settled in you can relax and enjoy, all meals and local drinks are included and the following activities; sunset or dawn cruise, fishing, tour of Victoria Falls, guided birding, guided village walk, guided tour of local markets, island picnic.

Today you will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your flight to the Okavango Delta [by Kalahari Tours I believe, booked through the lodge].
We don't have the time because it is scheduled the day before, but Moremi Air/Kwando will be in touch with Waterberry and they will arrange the transfer accordingly.
Once you land at Mma Dinare, you will be taken to camp to settle in and prepare for your safaris! Your aircraft may drop-off/pick-up other guests along the way.
The game viewing around Mma Dinare over the last few years has been amazing and I hope it delivers.
