Welcome to Zimbabwe! On arrival at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport you will be met by a Taylors Africa guide who will then transfer you to Matobo National Park to camp for the first two nights of your tour.
This is the UNESCO world heritage site. A sea of granite “whale backs”and balancing rocks, the Matobo National Park is steeped in Zimbabwe's history. From the Stone Age Bushmen (San), who left their mark with stunning cave paintings, to the nineteenth century Matabele people. The area, entrusted to the country by Cecil Rhodes, incorporates a National park, which features black and white rhino (To complete your Big 5 safari)
This is where you will really explore, taking hikes to see black eagles and tracking the rhino on foot, to showing you some of the best Bushmen paintings in Africa.The camp site that in this national park is a beautiful campsite that is overlooking the Maleme dam, right in the center of the national park. Today you will be transferred to Hwange National Park, located in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Mighty Victoria Falls. You will camp here for the next three nights.
You will camp at Main Camp campsites although it is basic and clean you will spend most of the day in the park and return to camp in the late afternoons. This 14 000 sq. km area is Zimbabwe's largest National Park. It was proclaimed Wankie game reserve in 1929, and offers the most diverse range of mammal species in the country. The heart of the park, seasonally dry, is watered by underground wells that supplement natural pans with water. These pans attract many animals, including large concentrations of elephant and buffalo. Vegetation varies from Mopane woodland and petrified forests, to arid Kalahari sand veldt with desert-like flora. This is a truly magical area with in Zimbabwe. There is hot showers and running water as well as flushing toilets.

You will now head for the Great Victoria Falls. For the next two nights you will be staying at Lokuthula Lodge nestled amidst beautiful gardens, frequented by warthogs, bushbuck and mongooses, and featuring a three-tiered swimming pool and playground.

You will now head for Capital Lusaka. A Malawian Style guide will today meet you at Lokuthula and transfer you to Lusaka for the next night of your tour. You will stay for the night at Wild Dogs Lodge located just 15 minutes from the Lusaka International Airport and only 20 minutes from Lusaka city center.
Located 14 km from Arcades Shopping Mall, Wild Dogs Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, a bar for your convenience. The bed and breakfast offers a continental or buffet breakfast. Wild Dogs Lodge offers an outdoor pool. Waterfalls Mall is 4 km from the accommodation, while Leopards Hill Memorial Park is 15 km from the property. We will now transfer you to one of Zambia's great Wilderness, South Luangwa National Park. Your driver/guide will transfer you to Track & Trail Camp situated along the banks of Luangwa River right within South Luangwa National Park for the next three nights of your tour.
An intimate safari lodge, ideally located on the banks of the Luangwa river, with easy, year-round access. We will now take you to the Warm Heart of Africa. Your driver/guide will transfer you across the Zambia - Malawi border to Lilongwe. You will spend the next night at Kumbali Country Lodge situated at the outskirt of the Capital City Centre.
Kumbali Lodge is a true retreat in Malawi, the warm heart of Africa. It's about a 30-40 minute drive from the airport (with traffic), and part of the drive traverses a traditional village over a bumpy dirt road. The lodge is situated on 200 acres of some of the most beautiful land in Malawi; very private and serene. Individual rooms are attached, but interiors resemble chalets with high ceilings and thatched roofs.

Today we will take you to yet another fascinating destination, Liwonde National Park, another big five National Park with Lions and Cheetah being reintroduced. Your driver/guide will transfer you to Mvuu Camp situated along the mighty Shire River right within the park. You are perfectly set to enjoy delicious meals and spectacular animal sightings for the next three nights of your tour here.
Mvuu Camp is located in the heart of Liwonde National Park, one of Malawi’s premier wildlife destinations. The camp is an excellent option for guests who want to enjoy the ultimate bush experience in a comfortable and relaxed setting. The Camp has a spectacular vantage on the banks of the Shire River in Liwonde National Park. Liwonde is a 580 sq km reserve that harbours over 400 species of birds, a dense population of hippos, crocodiles, large numbers of elephants and a variety of antelope species. There are also regular sightings of lion, cheetah and serval as well as occasional sightings of black rhino.

Good morning! Your driver/guide will today transfer you to Cape Maclear in Mangochi to connect with your scheduled boat transfer to Mumbo Island, a lonely planet standing majestically tall in the middle of the fresh waters. You will be here for the last two nights of your tour.
Mumbo Island is a pristine and deserted tropical island floating on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi National Park. With a maze of massive underwater boulders, innumerable species of colourful cichlid fish and calm, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkeling and SCUBA diving in the world.
