Kulala Adventure Camp is situated in Sossusvlei - home to the popular Dune 45. Accommodation at Kulala Adventure Camp comprises of 10 chalets, all featuring solar heated bathrooms. Each camp also has a private veranda where visitors can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area. Also featured at Kulala Adventure Camp is a common area for lounging as well as a pool.

Namibia’s oldest hotel, the Hansa has retained its 100-year-old charm while providing present-day service and comfort. Spacious and tastefully appointed bedrooms feature a blend of modern luxury and antique décor. Interesting photographs from the past adorn the walls along the carpeted passages. Although we are conveniently located in the centre of town, even our street facing bedrooms are surprisingly quiet. A short walk will bring you to the heated Olympic-sized indoor public swimming pool, the museum, lighthouse and several good restaurants if you wish to try an alternative to our own excellent meals. We have 48 twin/double rooms, 6 family units and 3 luxury suites and an executive suite, each with an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower.

Damaraland Adventurer Camp – in the heart of the spectacular arid region of Damaraland, an area with a varied and breath taking assortment of desert-adapted species including one of the highest concentrations of desert elephant and black rhino. Damaraland Adventurer Camp is a new camp built to make the most of the endless vistas. Built in a sandstone canyon, the camp features six dome tents, built on wooden platforms with en suite bathrooms. Each tent is shaded by a separate canvas overhang to provide relief from the mid-day sun. The camp is powered by solar-powered inverter systems and there are no generators or pumps running while you are in camp, for you to enjoy the sounds of nature. Each tent is furnished with necessary basic comforts and styled with burnt orange interiors, wood and brass, effectively recreating a sense of the early explorer.

Tucked away in the foothills of a dolomite range, Ongava Tented Camp is one of Namibia’s best-kept secrets. You will be captivated by the bustling waterhole in front of camp as wild animals file through to quench their thirst. Your accommodation will be one of the eight delightfully rustic en-suite Meru-style tents, built on a raised wooden deck which stretches out over the wilderness. The stone, canvas and thatched main area, with its relaxed swimming pool, completes this intimate camp. Bordering the iconic Etosha National Park and set within its own wilderness haven, you can expect unrivalled game viewing complimented by the tranquillity of a private reserve.

INSIDER’S TIP: Ongava is home to one of the largest black and white rhino populations in Namibia thanks to a successful reintroduction programme.

There is one family tent which comprises of 2 identical rooms at an angle to each other. Each Tent has its own bathroom and entrance, they are however linked by a short curved walkway.

Ongava Tented Camp - Game drives on Ongava Game Reserve Ongava Tented Camp - Excursions into Etosha National Park Ongava Tented Camp - Guided Nature Walks Ongava Information System and Visitor Centre

Guided afternoon/evening game drives take place on the 30 000-hectare private Ongava Game Reserve. The reserve is famed for its population of rhino as well as lion and other game such as antelope, including endemic black-faced impala, and zebra.

Full- or half-day guided morning game drives in the Etosha National Park, Namibia’s prime savannah wilderness area (with packed lunch on full day). See the massive saltpan as well as the perennial springs that provide the water required by the Park’s high-density big game population.

Offered seasonally and subject to an available walking guide, nature walks through the area take in the abundant array of life, from unusual plants to arid-adapted animals, with a chance of approaching white rhino.

Guests can interface with science and research across the Ongava Game Reserve and part of this experience is an immersion into the world of natural history and science at the new Ongava Visitor Centre. With dozens of in-depth displays that feature information on the geology, animals, plants and ecological functioning of this fascinating region, guests are encouraged to meander through the self-guided exhibition area.
