On the path of an annual elephant migration, Elewana Tarangire Treetops sits alone in a 312km2 community wildlife area bordering Tarangire National Park, amid a landscape of rolling and baobab-studded hills. Our elevated "treehouse" suites are perched high up with views over the adjacent baobab and marula trees, giving Elewana Tarangire Treetops an adventurous and exotic feel.
Twenty suites, each 65 sq metres with a private balcony, are lavishly furnished. Natural materials are blended with contemporary Africana décor, to provide guests with a unique and most memorable safari experience.
Encasing an impressive baobab tree, the spacious and tranquil dining room, reception and lounge overlook the swimming pool and a waterhole that sees a steady flow of wild animal visitors.

Treetops Elevated Suite
Each treehouse boasts one of the largest bedrooms to be found in any camp or lodge in East Africa – with a floor space of 65 square metres – and all with an exotic double shower ensuite bathroom. With furnishings that create warmth and demonstrate a commitment to local craftsmanship, the ‘up-in-the-air’ experience is completed by the open-fronted room design affording views across the Tarangire plains from an expansive but private balcony.
Each room offers a unique and special view, oriented to enjoy the sunset in the evening, sunrise in the morning or affording a view over the waterhole and animal trail in front of the lodge.

Tarangire National Park is transected by the Tarangire River which in the dry season becomes a life source for an abundance of animals, including thousands of elephant. The lush swamplands are home to one of the largest populations of breeding birds, and 550 species of bird have been recorded within the park's boundaries. The red earthed and white-grassed landscape of Tarangire is punctuated by magnificent baobab trees and termite mounds, and is home to a myriad of animals.
Enjoy the offerings of Tarangire National Park on a game drive with an expert Elewana guide. Elewana Tarangire Treetops is a short 45 minute drive from the entrance of the national park, however being located in a wildlife area adjacent to the park your game drive begins as soon as you are in the car.

The African bush comes alive at night, with a plethora of different creatures becoming active. Each Manor Cottage Suite has its own private entrance, and adjoining private sun terrace. A double open-fronted log-burning fireplace divides a room interior that mirrors the traditional Cape Dutch architecture. Ngorongoro Crater is unofficially the "Eight Wonder of the World". Visitors will understand instantly when they reach the first viewing point on the lip of the crater and take in the majesty of the ecological wonder.
Descending to the floor of the crater, guests are treated a magnificent wildlife spectacle as they traverse a variety of landscapes, from open grasslands dotted with game, soda lakes coloured pink with flamingo and dense riverine woodland, with the rising walls of the crater framing every view.

Take a canter or a leisurely walk on a horse through the fertile grounds of the surrounding gardens and coffee plantation. The Manor has a stable of horses and ponies suitable for most ages.

Lake Manyara National Park is known for its astounding variety of landscapes for its relatively smaller size compared to other well-known parks on the Northern Tanzanian circuit. From dense forest, to soda lake wetland, open grasslands and acacia thickets, the variety is superseded only by the variety of wildlife found throughout.
Olduvai Gorge is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in East Africa, and is famed as the place where Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the most important discoveries of early hominids. A still active excavation site, visit the place where some of the earliest hominids lived and breathed.

Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp Tents are designed with the guest’s comfort in mind. Each tent has an en suite shower room with flushing toilet, shower and twin vanity basin, the latter of which receives hot (solar generated) and cold running water 24-hours a day.
Migration Camp tented rooms include luxuriant soft furnishings, a writing desk and stationery set and a room fan. The tents have a wooden floor, fixed bathroom walls, fixed wooden doors but all combine with the all-enveloping canvas.
