Vintage Camp | Eastern Hwange National Park
Vintage Camp Hwange, situated in the Painted Dog private concession, is one of the first donor funding camps in Zimbabwe. This small and authentic camp in Hwange offers the discerning traveler a safari that captures that special “Out of Africa” experience.
The camp offers 4 vintage style tents with twin or double beds. Each tent has its own en-suite shower with loo, bush shower (hot and cold) and hand basin – in true vintage style. The dining tent is au-naturel, flowing out to nature all around. The fire pit is where evening nightcaps and recounted folktales drift into the night accompanied by the gentle crackling of flames. All meals are freshly prepared in camp and dining al fresco out in the bush with picnic brunch or lunch, or an evening moonlit dinner, really enhances your Vintage African Safari. A cosy lookout deck anchored around the girth of a huge teak tree, overlooks the water pan in front. A great vantage point for game viewing and photo opportunities, from where one will regularly see lion, elephant, kudu, sable and many more wildlife species. From here you can enjoy the panoramic scenery and passing wildlife while you enjoy a fresh cup of sunrise coffee or sundowner drink.

This flag ship lodge is nestled in a patch of pristine woodland just west of Ngamo on the edge of the South Eastern corner of Hwange National Park. The lodge is unique in its style and design and has as its centre piece a huge ancient Camelthorn tree. The lodge is a true partnership with the surrounding community and was built on their land and almost everyone that works for us there comes from the local community nearby.
On the edge of the Ngamo Plain, and strategically placed to explore the remote and unspoilt south eastern portion of the park, Camelthorn will also provide a spectacular wilderness experience. Less than a kilometre away from the lodge we have built an underground blind in front of a beautifully located waterhole in the park. Camouflaged as a termite heap and buried under an ancient Mitswiri tree - the photographic opportunities from it are dramatic. Elephants can be photographed from toe level silhouetted against the sky at a distance of 25 feet - and such close proximity to Hwange's huge bulls is honestly breath-taking.

Gorges and Little Gorges is a mere 30 minute drive from Victoria Falls town and offers a unique Victoria Falls experience from a peaceful and idyllic base on the edge of the Batoka Gorge - a perfect choice for your Victoria Falls safari adventure!
At Gorges you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria Falls town - our peaceful guest accommodation is nestled in a landscaped garden that makes walking to your room a joy, and our staff are renowned for their warm hospitality.
Gorges is famous for its spectacular views, described by some as the best in southern Africa; whether you are enjoying a cup of coffee at sunrise on your private veranda or a cool refreshment by the pool at sunset, you will be constantly drawn to the stunning vistas provided by the Batoka Gorge and the rushing waters of the Zambezi River below.
Little Gorges is perched on the edge of the Batoka Gorge next to main Gorges. This tented extension of Gorges overlooks the dramatic junction of the Dibu Dibu River and the Zambezi, where black eagles and lanner falcons nest in the sheer cliff faces. Construction of the luxury tents in this rugged, rocky and broken terrain necessitated careful planning and feats of engineering and is a wonderful alternative to the main Gorges chalets while still providing all the same comforts.
