Omaanda, meaning rhinoceros in Oshiwambo, is a five-star lodge set within the Zannier Reserve by N/a’an ku sê, an incredible private animal conservation reserve of 9000 hectares in the countryside surrounding Windhoek. Overlooking the boundless savannah, the lodge offers 15 comfortable round thatched huts, paying tribute to the traditional architecture of Ovambo. It also features a restaurant and a cosy bar, overlooking a heated infinity pool. A spa and a boma complete the lodge facilities, offering a typically local place to meet and mingle by the fire. For safety reasons Omaanda only welcome children from 6 years onwards. The close proximity to Windhoek and the International Airport make Omaanda the perfect choice for the first and last nights of guest's stay in Namibia, promising a locally authentic experience.

The twelve 1-Bedroom Huts are built in traditional Namibian style, with rounded corners and hand-finished thatched roof. The design is simple und understated; the deep, warm colours are evocative of the earth, sand and natural environment. The interior decoration is composed of rare objects and precious antiques from African culture.
These huts are spacious (60 sqm interior) and boast a private 20 sqm terrace with magnificent views overlooking the nearby ‘dam’ (small lake) and the distant hills of the Khomas Hochland plateau.
The bedroom is fitted with a king-sized double bed which is convertible into twin beds, a desk, an armchair and a large walk-in dressing room. There is an open fireplace shared by the bedroom and the bathroom. The bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TV, Sound Bar with Bluetooth Connectivity and Wi-Fi. The huts also offer a minibar, a laptop-size safe, a Nespresso machine and an electric kettle. All rooms are fully air-conditioned.
With a walk-in rain shower, separate WC, double vanity and a large bathtub with stunning views, the bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. Guests will feel completely at home in this wonderful location in the middle of the Savannah.
The 2-Bedroom Huts were designed with families or small groups in mind. They promise ultra-modern comfort while maintaining the authentic Namibian style of design and architecture. Warmth and strength of colour, original pieces of furniture and decoration, every detail is a reminder of the richness of African culture. A roof of thatch, hand-finished by local craftsmen, perfectly completes these rooms of traditional circular design.
The spacious huts (120 sqm) open onto a 26 sqm terrace and are an ideal place for a quiet retreat while watching stunning sunsets or the wild animals roaming on the veld nearby.

Our experienced guides will take guests with our well-equipped open game drive vehicles around the pristine 9,000-hectare reserve, showcasing some of the most incredible wildlife in Africa. Early drives at sunrise are ideal to observe the Namibian plains waking up, while evening drives reveal the elusive beauty of the nocturnal savannah.
All our safaris are conducted in state-of-the-art Land Cruisers, each accommodating a maximum of six guests. During the game driving guests are likely to see a great variety of wildlife including rhinos, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, ostriches, black-backed jackals, warthogs, various antelopes (kudu, red hartebeest, steenbok, reedbuck, waterbuck, oryx, springbok) and many types of birds.

Lead by the Head Guide of the reserve, guests can enjoy the luxury of a very personal experience and get close to Africa’s most incredible animals. The guide's exceptional skills and knowledge will make this tour a unique experience. Drinks and snacks to guest's individual taste will further enhance the experience on a culinary level.
Guests get to spend an afternoon with a ranger and tracker in search of rhinos. Rhino tracking offers a great opportunity to learn about the habits and characteristics of this threatened species, the issue of rhino poaching, and on-going conservation efforts.

Guests can go on an amazing elephant safari. An encounter with these iconic African animals will teach guests about how intelligent and compassionate they actually are. This 5-hour excursion aims to show you the backstage of the Zannier Reserve by N/a’an ku sê. This Behind The Scenes excursion includes a tour of the Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will discover the incredible work of passionate vets who are rescuing and taking care of endangered animals. A visit of the Research Center will get you the priviledge of walking with cheetahs and with baboons. Your discovery of the actions undertaken by N/a’an ku sê will continue with the visit of the Clever Cubs School. The tour also features a visit to the anti-poaching unit, where you will get to meet special forces trained to protect the reserve and its natural resources.
Non private tours up to 12 people and exclusive tours from 1 to 6 people, on vehicle & on foot, drinks and snacks are provided.
Ambo Delights Restaurant
The restaurant at Omaanda overlooks the infinity pool and the beautiful landscape surrounding Omaanda. In its center a fireplace provides warmth on colder mornings and evenings. Omaanda promises an array of local flavours and tastes, using the freshest local ingredients. Breakfast is served a la carte from 7:00am - 10.30am. For lunch a creative mezze menu is offered from 12noon - 2:30pm. A 3-course menu offering various choices including fish and vegetarian options, started with an amuse bouche, is served every evening between 7.00pm - 9.30pm.

An awesome way to see the Falls is from the bottom of the gorge. Swimming in the rock pools below the Falls, surrounded by the massive black basaltic rock towering up above you and the water cascading down, seemingly out of the sky, is certainly one of the most breathtaking experiences you will ever have. The short flight circuits the Falls and offers superb views over the gorges below and the Zambezi above. Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. The adventure flight in a Huey helicopter, flown with doors open at a lower lever, skims over the African bush, deep down into the Batoka gorge and over the falls. The helicopter then swoops into the Gorge and lands at rapid 21, where a beautiful riverside spot with stunning views of the river and gorge await you. Owing to the location of Chobe Game Lodge inside the Chobe National Park, early-morning game drives set off as soon as the park opens, giving you the best chance of tracking predators while they are still active. The afternoon drives depart the lodge in the late afternoon (the exact time is dependent on the season), only returning at park closure time after sunset, thus maximising the time you spend out in the park to enjoy those special sightings.
The drives follow the course of the Chobe River as your experienced guide interprets the bush signs and tracks in search of the resident wildlife. Elephant encounters are common and huge herds of buffalo abound. The ever-present impala and the majestic giraffe are both common residents, while sightings of the puku antelope are also on offer. Predators are plentiful in the northern region of the Chobe National Park, and excellent sightings of lion, wild dog and leopard are to be had.
The Chobe Game Lodge vehicles are open 4WD game viewers redesigned to make your trip comfortable and your viewing experience astonishing. Included in the fleet are several silent, CO2 emission-free electric vehicles designed to further enhance your Chobe safari.

This 94sqm cabin has recently been converted into a country chic cottage suitable for couples and families wanting a quiet getaway with only the sounds of the river flowing past. It is situated a kilometre from Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse – near to Richard and Mouse’s house.
Having its own private access allows guests to enjoy privacy, peace and solitude. The views are spectacular, looking directly onto the river with the soaring mountain rising above. It is surrounded by the World Heritage Site – the Highmoor section of the Giant’s Castle Nature Reserve.
Please note that this unit is totally separate from the hotel and its facilities. Guests are responsible for their own catering although they are welcome to book for meals at the hotel should there be space (no children at the Farmhouse under 12). Please note that this unit is not Pet Friendly.

Highmoor Nature Reserve is 90% of our border and has just been declared a world heritage site because of its inherent beauty. It is a 10 minute drive from Cleopatra in a normal motor vehicle, you park your car at the top. There are three big Trout Dams up there stocked with Rainbow Trout. Wildlife includes Eland, Reedbuck, Oribi, Jackal, Serval, Rooikat, extensive birdlife and a huge diversity of flora.
Cleopatra is situated on 500 acres of rolling hills and walking trails are available on the property
Horse Riding
Horse riding is available 10 minutes drive down the road on the most beautiful Appaloosa horses. The rides are approximately 2½ hours in duration and they cater for in-experienced and experienced riders. Your horse ride will take you over rolling hills with the most beautiful scenery and the horses are well suited to all types of terrain.
Helicopter
We have a helicopter on standby, which will pick you up in our gardens and fly you over the Little Berg to Giants Castle. You will hover next to the Big Berg and fly over wildlife, rolling hills, rivers and land on top of the Little Berg for a glass of sparkling wine with Giants Castle in the back-ground. The flight is about ½ an hour in duration and a fantastic way of seeing Ukhahlamba (The Barrier of Spears).
Bushman Rock Art
Some of the rock art in the Drakensberg dates back over 3000 years. The best sighting in our area is at Kamberg (Little Berg), a 20 minute drive from Cleopatra and a 2 hour walk. Alternatively there is Rock Art at Giants Castle (Big Berg), a 45 minute drive, and a 45 minute walk with tours on the hour every hour from 09h00 – 15h00.
Fishing
Fishing is available at various time throughout the year, please speak to us about the best places to fish and the open seasons. Our rivers in this area are stocked with Brown Trout whereas the dams are stocked with Rainbow Trout. Fishing is available at Highmoor and Kamberg as well as our Little Mooi River on the property. You will need to bring your own equipment.
Sani Pass
There are trips to the top of the Pass with various tour companies. The tours leave at 9:00am from Underberg & returning at 4.00 p.m. Bookings must be made and there is a charge per person. You must take your Passport & lunch is available at a fee. It will take about 2.5 hours to get to Himeville so any early breakfast must be arranged.

A trip to the Cape Winelands begins with a stop at the beautiful Simonsig Wine Estate. There you will have a behind- the-scenes tour of a working wine farm, to experience first-hand the process involved in
producing the ‘champagne of South Africa’ - known as Cap Classique, or CC. As the first estate to bottle CC in South Africa, and the suppliers of One&Only Cape Town’s very own CC, Simonsig Wine Estate makes for a superb day out, picking grapes,
experimenting in viniculture and enjoying a leisurely lunch at the estate restaurant, Cuvee. recommend the best route to match athletic and mountaineering ability. Lion’s Head, a hugely popular summit for locals and international visitors alike is another option, boasting incredible 360-degree

Practice yoga atop one of the most iconic landmarks, the ancient and majestic Table Mountain, an experience never to be repeated. Get up close and personal with these much-loved creatures of the sea during this behind the- cenes experience in partnership with the Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation. Neighbours to One&Only Cape Town, the Foundation actively rescues, rehabilitates and releases stranded and distressed sea turtles as part of their conservation mission. Through them hundreds of sea turtles have been saved, cared for and released back into the wild. In this private excursion, guests will be able to participate and assist with turtle care tasks such as feeding, cleaning and enrichment exercises. Following this, guests are free to explore the Two Oceans Aquarium’s attractions such as the touch pool, shark exhibit, kelp forest and penguin exhibit at leisure. This is a fun, interactive and educational experience, perfect for children and adults alike. All proceeds go towards the non-profit Aquarium Foundation’s Turtle Rescue Programme.

World-class master chef Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa expands his eponymous empire with his first restaurant in Africa. His innovative blend of classically styled Japanese cuisine incorporates South African seafood and indigenous spices. The upper level Nobu Lounge features a selection of Sakes, plum wines, Japanese beers and Sake and Shochu based cocktails. A sweeping fan-like staircase leads to the dining room and sushi counter, which is framed by a textured, translucent origami light that glides along the ceiling.
