Bayala Private Safari Lodges each offer 24 rooms, accommodating up to 48 guests in each lodge. Decor is refreshingly simple, appealing and serene. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms with large walk-in showers, and are equipped with air-conditioning, guest amenities, quality linens, hot beverage facilities and hairdryers.

Superior rooms are only available at Founders Lodge and offer a patio with views out to the bush but secured by fencing. These are subject to availability and offer the interleading option as a family room. The rate is higher for interleading superior rooms

We have 4 standard rooms nestled in between the rondawels. Upgraded and spacious and ready for your visit!

Founders Lodge has 6 rondawels that are part of the original accommodation back in the day. Although a standard room, they are spacious and unique to Zululand!

With a maximum number of 8 guests, our trained, armed rangers will take you on a 2 hour walk through the reserve.

Spotting and locating game in their natural environment without them knowing you are even there is the challenge. The rangers will show you the little things you don't normally see on a vehicle and it is very interesting to read the signs, once you begin to recognize them.

The stillness also allows you to hear the calls of the different bird species, which the rangers will point out.

The reserve is home to one of the largest privately owned rhino populations in the world.
The Mun-ya-wana conservation team has been at the forefront of rhino conservation ever since the crisis started, and a few years ago it was decided to initiate a dehorning program. The Cycle of Life has been able to contribute to this expensive program.

Safari Lodge offers an area where you can watch the sun set while you enjoy sundowners. Meals can be served both inside and outside. The bar lends itself to both inside and outside guests. Firebowls keep you nice and cozy on cool evenings.
