Hotel Juma Ópera | Manaus

The Juma Opera is a high-end historical boutique hotel opened on 2020. It is located in the center of

Manaus, in front of the Amazonas Opera House, the tourist hotspot of the city. The hotel is also

located nearby the Palace of Justice and the Church of St. Sebastian, a contemporary jewel to the

Amazonas Opera House, both from the late 19th century. Designed by the renowned architect Roberto Vinograd, the hotel facade harmonizes with the historical

buildings of the square. Part of the construction is also from the same Belle Époque period and

accredited by the "Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN)". At the beginning of

the 20th century, Theodore Roosevelt during his Amazon expedition with Marshall Rondon was a

guest at the house, then the American Consulate. With 41 spacious rooms, the Juma Opera prioritizes comfort. Rooms are decorated by the awardwinning architect Débora Aguiar and all have acoustic treatment on their doors, walls and windows,

which most have a direct view to the Amazonas Opera House (all the wiring in the front of the hotel

was removed and put underground). In line with sustainable practices, the hot water in the bathrooms

is heated using solar energy.

Juma Amazon Lodge | State of Amazonas

Juma Amazon Lodge is located in a remote and untouched region 118 kilometers (73 miles) southeast of Manaus, in the municipality of Autazes. Situated on a peninsula surrounded by the Juma River, it has a fully preserved area of 7,000 hectares (17,300 acres). Juma can be reached in approximately 3 hours by van and boat in a very pleasant trip (the Meeting of the Waters of the Negro River and the Solimoes River is on the way to the lodge). The trip can also be made by hydroplane upon request and takes 30 minutes, landing right in front of the lodge.

The property has been built on stilts upon solid ground resting at treetop level. The lodge is entirely eco-friendly in design and construction. Both the construction and the architectural style of the lodge reflect the techniques employed by the indigenous people of the Amazon River when building their own homes.
