Morning Bushman Walk Nature Drive and Sundowner Cheetah Excursion with Sundowner Horseback Safari Night Game Drive Combination Drive

A relaxing walk with the Bushman (San), sharing with you their ancient survival skills and secrets from their forefathers.

Arriving at the traditional Bushman village, you will meet the family who will present you with how they used to store water in ostrich eggs , plants for medicinal use, setting up traps, the making of ostrich and bead jewellery, etc. This is really an experience, always to remember.

The guide will do the necessary translation in English, as the Bushman will be speaking in their language.

A game drive in the reserve with a variety of game such as giraffe, kudu, zebra, oryx, blue-wildebeest, eland and much more. The reserve has some of the highest dunes in this region, with views over the pans, characteristic to the Kalahari. Between the dunes, which are called streets, are the beautiful acacia trees. The Kalahari has more than 150 species of birds. The well-known suricate (meerkat) is also to be seen, although they are very scarce.

As the day draws to an end, a sundowner on the dune will await you, with refreshments and a Namibian snack, while enjoying a breath taking sunset in the Kalahari.

This activity allows one the opportunity to come up close to the cheetah, great for taking photos. The guides will provide interesting facts about this incredible cat and the history of the cheetahs in their care

In association with CCF(cheetah conservation fund), bagatelle are the custodians of the cheetahs, which are kept in a 12 hectare enclosure. Unable to fend for themselves, the three orphans namely, Ralf, Etosha, and Tuano are fed and cared lovingly by them here at bagatelle.

After this, a sundowner on the dune will await you, with refreshments and a Namibian snack, while enjoying a breath taking sunset in the Kalahari.

Bagatelle has a variety of horses suitable for children, beginners, intermediate and advanced riders.
Experience the Kalahari in silence with only the sounds of nature, on well trained quarter horses (cowboy horses) accompanied with a guide.

Enjoy refreshing drink in an ostrich egg shell on the dune, before heading back to the ranch.

After dinner, this drive offers the adventures one, the opportunity to look out with the aid of a strong spotlight, for various nocturnal animals such as aardvark, bat-eared foxes, porcupines, springhare, aardwolf, wild cats, birds, such as owls and so much more. This will be accompanied with hot gluwein/sherry in winter or something refreshing in summer.

Dead Valley Lodge is situated next to the main entrance gate inside the Namib-Naukluft National Park, between the Sesriem campsite and Elim Dune on the way to the world famous Sossusvlei and the Dead Vlei. This oasis offers a panoramic view of the Namib Desert with towering red sand dunes, rugged mountain ranges, and arid desert savannahs.

Each of the 20 free-standing luxury tented chalets is climate controlled and equipped with double bed units, electric plugs, private patios, a kitchenette, and free-standing bathrooms stocked with toiletries. Guests can enjoy the top-class restaurant that serves delicious Namibian-style cuisine, relax in the picturesque bar with a cold drink after a day of activities, or cool off in the open-air swimming pool overlooking the Elim Dune.

The lodge’s eco-friendly design and architecture have truly been inspired by Sossusvlei and with its own entrance into the Namib-Naukluft National Park, making the Dead Valley Lodge one of the closest lodges to Sossusvlei pan. The lodge offers game drives in the morning and afternoon to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon.

The Delight Swakopmund Activities

Activities to be advised at the Hotel. We gladly assist you with bookings for activities or dinner.

Madisa Camp is situated on the D2612 road to Twyfelfontein, a very popular route. The camp is hidden between amazing rock formations which are scattered with Bushman Paintings and has privy to an ancient Desert Elephant route that often gets visited by these beautiful giants. Each spacious campsite has an exquisite view of the Gauntegab River bed and rock formations. The campsites have individual ablution facilities situated on stilts hidden in the tree tops. The braai facilities also double up as a heater (donkey system) for hot running water at each open air shower. The camp sites are shaded by large Mopane trees and have a low rock wall around each site. The swimming pool and bar area are very welcoming after a long day and give you a chance to rejuvenate and enjoy your surroundings. It’s also nice to meet fellow travelers and share tails around a communal camp fire at night while the sky puts on a breath taking show of stars.

These sites are spacious and are situated on the riverbed. Each site has a private ablution facility, and a braai area that doubles-up as a donkey geyser for hot water.

These sites are large and each have a circle braai area with seating, a wash up basin and water supply. The ablution facilities are shared.

Each tent has its own unique open air rock en- suite bathroom with beautiful views. They each sleep two people and are self-catering. All linen and bedding is provided.

Dome tent is 3mx3m and is set up on the overland site with a mattress and linen in it. The overland ablution block is used.

Madisa Bush Camp offers accommodation in 10 Safari Tents, with shared ablution facilities. Each tent has 2 twin beds including linen.

Guests rave about the view: the restaurant and chalets, situated on a hillock, offer magnificent views of the African bush savannah. All of the 65 double room chalets have air conditioners and mosquito nets, and a choice of three swimming pools between them. Apart from the restaurant and bar there is a wooden platform for sundowners high above the Mopani bush. The Andersson Gate into Etosha National Park is a mere 9 km away. Those who do not want to drive themselves can join one of the lodge's daily safari trips into the park. A shuttle service operates between Windhoek and Etosha Safari Lodge and Camp (on request).

Ondjumba Cultural Village Tour is an indispensable and captivating journey through an Oshiwambo traditional homestead. It encapsulates interactive rudiments and in-depth knowledge about an Oshiwambo homestead and the Aawambo people. Guests are meticulously led through unique passages of the homestead and exclusive cultural encounters await all Etosha King Nehale guests.

Duration: 3 hours including transfer to/from Ondjumba Cultural Village.
This activity is bookable at the lodge only.

Ndhovu Safari Lodge is a peaceful riverine retreat overlooking the well-known Caprivi Game Park (Bwabwata National Park). In true safari tradition, Ndhovu Safari Lodge offers luxury tented accommodation, each tent being fully equipped with its own en-suite bathroom facilities. For the adventurous type, there is a Rivertent on the water. Here guests can feel real close to crocodiles and hippos, relax in the sun on the deck or try catching the famous tigerfish. In addition, there is an exclusive camping area. Facilities offered at the lodge includes sundowner cruises, fishing excursions, village tours and game drives whilst the birdlife in the area will satisfy the most ardent bird-watcher - over 400 different species have been recorded in the surroundings.

Each meru-style tent is fully equipped with private en-suite bathroom (shower) only and a bedside view over the river.

The two river suites offer a completely unique accommodation accommodation option, right at water level. With a king size-bed, en-Suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, mosquito net, coffee-/tea facilities, bar fridge, and private wooden terrace with fantastic view onto the Buffalo Park.

Our land suites, with uninterrupted views over the Okavango River and the Bwabwata National Park, offer unparalleled peace and tranquility. These brick and thatch luxury suites offer river-front accommodation for up to four people, mosquito nets, a shower, a small kitchenette, tea and coffee station.

Boat Cruise Game Drive Mahangu National Game Park Fishing Trip & a Cultural Village Tour

Take boat trips along the border of the Caprivi National Game Park, where you can see hippo, elephant, buffalo, crocodile and birds which include the White backed Night Heron and possibly the Pels Fishing Owl.

Enjoy a full game drive into the Buffalo Game Park where you have a chance to see bigger herds of buffalo, breeding herds of elephant and the Sharp Tailed Starling.

We can also take you to the Mahangu National Game Park where you could see, Sable Antelope, Roan Antelope, Letchwe, Reed Buck, Tsessebe, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard

We also offer fishing trips where you have a very good chance of catching Tiger fish, Barbel and Nembwe. If you want to stretch your legs you could join one of the local guides to take you on a 2 hour village tour where you can see how the Hambakushu people live everyday. Join us at a cultural tour to the local Kamutjonga village. Meet the traditional people and learn more about the Kavango culture.

The Old House is a family run and owned guest house situated on the banks of the Chobe River and a mere walking distance from the center of town and a 10 minute boat cruise or drive to famous Chobe National Park for spectacular wildlife viewing. We offer most activities such as boat cruises, game drives, fishing and Victoria falls day trips with a personalized touch and care. All our rooms air-conditioned with en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and mosquito nets. The décor in the rooms is modern with a touch of Africa. Our fabulous restaurant and bar offers a variety of local cuisine all on al-carte basis and some great imported wines and spirits with a variety of local cold beers. Shongwe Lookout is an exciting new build, 23-bedroom lodge in the suburbs of Victoria Falls. It is located roughly 1 kilometre from Victoria Falls town, and 2 kilometres from the Falls.

Our rooms are targeted at the more discerning guest, with quality fittings, elegant decor, and verdant garden surrounds.

Our unique offering is a 2-platform lookout tower with views of the Zambezi River, and Falls' spray. This tower is open both for early morning coffees, from 5am, and for evening drinks, until 9pm. The tower includes an intercom system and a pulley to allow guests to order drinks and nibbles without having to miss a moment of the magical view.

Shongwe Lookout also has an onsite bar and restaurant, the latter offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. An onsite pool and boma area complete the experience.
