Wayo Serengeti Green Camp is located in the northern section of the Serengeti. The wildebeest track through the corridor where our camp resides on the way to the Mara River where they cross back and forth between the months of July and October. These Mara River regions are densely populated by tourists and camps so we prefer to be tucked quietly away from others to enjoy solitude. The river is still accessible for our guests on their daily game drives allowing for the best of both.

Our Wayo Serengeti Green Camp features our newly designed tents sewn by local teams located on the boundary of Arusha National Park. The offering further extends our iconic Wayo mesh-sided tents to be 180 degrees creating a picture-window frontage and taking the inside-outside experience to another level.

Encased in a beautiful stretch canvas overhead, tents sensitively blend into the landscape whilst also providing shade and privacy. There are ensuite bathrooms with low-flush toilets and bucket showers.

Our 10 large eco-luxe tents boast proper wooden beds, duvets and quality linens. The tents can be configured into double, twins and in the case of adding a child, triples. We also have a baby cot available at the camp. The ensuite bathroom is attached with an overhead hot bucket shower and separate eco-friendly compost toilet. Due to our commitment to the environment we do not have built-in plumbing but provide plenty of 100% safe, filtered water for the amenities.

WATERFALLS AND ELEPHANTS

Set beneath the crashing cascades of the Endabash Waterfall, this breath-taking camp sits on the edge of a dry river bed. Set away from game drive tracks and one of only a handful of camps in this park, our Manyara camp benefits from both privacy and tranquility. The aspect looks out onto the towering rift and forested, peaceful peaks. This camp redefines Lake Manyara National Park. The Wayo Manyara Camp, its surroundings and the wildlife around make it one of the best bush camps in the region.

The camp is made up of 8 spacious tents each enjoying attached bathrooms. Set on decks, the arrangement provides guests with a raised view and solid wooden floors underfoot. Each tent benefits from a king-sized bed which can be arranged as a twin as required. The structure and interiors have all been locally crafted linking to our commitment to empowering local people. The roof is gauze; revealing the stars via an automatic retractable system and much of the wooden features have been reclaimed from our previous camp.

We have 8 beautifully spacious, comfortable and stylish tents with large windows that let the light and air in. The idea of these tents is that you feel immersed in the bush whilst still enjoying the comfort of a large double bed, linen sheets and everything you want and nothing you don't.

These tents are set on decks for that extra sense of comfort and protections and also providing a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the game that wanders past camp daily. En-suites are attached with flushing toilets, bucket showers and basins. These tents are operated in the most environmentally sustainable manner whilst also being somewhere you can relax and enjoy true wilderness. These rooms have all been locally handcrafted - empowering local Tanzanians and reclaiming much of the wood from our previous camp.
