Tsowa Safari Island is located 40km upstream from the Victoria Falls, in the Zambezi National Park, Zimbabwe. It is a 16 bed luxury modern day Explorer style tented camp. Guests are transferred in open 4x4 vehicles from a private entrance to the Zambezi National Park to the edge of the Zambezi river and then transferred by boat to the island. Total transfer time from Victoria Falls is approximately 1 hour.
Activities include game drives and guided game walks on the mainland through the Zambezi National Park, guided walks around the island home to magnificent Baobab trees and wonderful bird life, guided rafting down the Zambezi river with a picnic lunch and sun downer cruises on the river. Regrettably no children under 12 years.

A small intimate lodge featuring 7 luxurious tree houses and 2 Presidential Elephant Suites set on elevated platforms amongst the indigenous flora of Hwange Game Park. Deep in the mystical teak forests of Hwange is this unobtrusive camp, bathed in the tales of pioneering hunters and explorers such as Fredrick Courtney Selous. Lumbering giants drift around your stilted platforms , their tusks glinting in salute to the sanctuary of shade offered up by these massive trees.
This is Ivory Lodge – place of elephants. It is here that great herds of elephants are found – sometimes over 100 strong. Hwange is renowned for its huge tuskers – big old bulls with magnificent tusks. It is also here that the famous Presidential Herd drinks – these elephants’ home-range is amongst the dense feeding areas of the Sikumi Vlei and where they find refuge from the scorching heat at Ivory’s water hole. Silently, elegantly, the lodge stands over the waterhole…. watch by flood light under a star spangled African night sky – the elephants in their play-fighting….their display of instinctive rituals, their caressing and murmurings…all which speak of years gone by.

We have 40 rooms along with Spa and Conference facilities and are developing our own jetty site on the river’s edge with two of our own sunset cruise boats. We started our build in August 2021. Our unique selling points are that we are 3.6km from the Falls, but not in town – we are near the park's gate along Parkway. Although we don’t have river frontage, (we are about 150m back off the river), we have developed a private water hole and salt lick beneath our horizon pool – so we get some lovely game coming through the front of our property which we have left open and pristine. We have a lovely open dining, bar and deck area – and have loads of space all throughout the property. 14 Signature rooms of 42m2 each and 26 Luxury rooms of 28m2 each complement our room – with ramps for easy access and 7 sets of interleading rooms for families (14 rooms total).
