Leroo La Tau | Boteti River - Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

Leroo La Tau by Desert & Delta Safaris, on the western bank of the Boteti River, offers an ideal base for exploring Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and offers the chance to witness Botswana’s mind-blowing annual zebra migration.

24 guests are accommodated in 11 luxury chalets and a family suite (2-bedroom; interleading), accommodating up to 24 guests. Each thatched, glass-fronted chalet is en suite and has a private viewing deck overlooking the river, frequented by wildlife.

The main lodge area provides expansive views, with a boma and fire pit, and a photographic hide for day and night viewing. The dining room, curio shop, pool, reading room, and both indoor and outdoor seating by the bar complete the space.

Activities include twice-daily game drives, cultural excursions to Khumaga Village, and day trips to Nxai Pan and Baines Baobabs.

For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, there’s Desert & Delta Safaris’ Makgadikgadi Salt Pans Sleep-Out Experience (15 June to 31 October; Inclusive for guests staying three nights or more; Booking dependent and subject to availability).

*Makgadikgadi Salt Pans Sleep-Out Experience: Scenic helicopter transfers and tailor-made, completely exclusive journeys are also available as part of Desert & Delta Safaris’ Epic Experiences collection. Surcharges apply.
