Chula Island Camp is a stunning tented camp with all the luxuries one could wish for, but with the charm and ethos of a true seasonal bush-camp. With just 5 guest tents, catering for no more than 10 people in camp at once - each tent is carefully and expertly located for the best possible views across the Zambezi River. The Chula tents are bespoke and very comfortable, with high quality linen and mattresses, alongside flushing toilets, running water taps and traditional bucket-showers! A main area stretch-canvas tent set beneath massive Natal Mahogany trees makes for an exceptional location for meals, reading, charging cameras and wildlife watching.

Nestled on the southern edge of the breathtaking Busanga Plains, this enchanting thatched bush camp serves as your gateway to a diverse ecosystem teeming with life.

Lwenge Bush Camp – Opening August 2026

Lwenge takes its name from an old local word for this tranquil stretch of the Kafue River – a place where life slows down and the wilderness leads. Elephants still cross in front of camp, and the riverbank is alive with activity, grounding guests in the raw character of this special area.

Set close to the site of Old Musekese, Lwenge is Classic Zambia’s newest camp , a natural extension of the same vast, lightly explored Musekese private concession. With just five tents, a cosy lounge which captures a cool breeze during the day and the perfect spot in the evening. Naturally dinner will most often be under the stars. A small pool will add to the experience. Lwenge is an intimate, back-to-roots experience keeping the comfort, service, and guiding standards our guests associate with Musekese.

Lwenge is designed for private use by small groups or families, with children of all ages welcome. It complements rather than competes with Musekese – a simple, riverside bush camp where exclusivity and authenticity come first, and every activity is led with the same focus on wildlife, conservation, and deep wilderness connection that defines Classic Zambia.
