Chula Island Camp is a stunning tented camp with all the luxuries one could wish for, but with the charm and ethos of a true seasonal bush-camp. The Chula tents are bespoke and very comfortable, with high quality linen and mattresses, alongside flushing toilets, running water taps and traditional bucket-showers! A main area stretch-canvas tent set beneath massive Natal Mahogany trees makes for an exceptional location for meals, reading, charging cameras and wildlife watching.

Nestled on the southern edge of the breathtaking Busanga Plains, this enchanting thatched bush camp serves as your gateway to a diverse ecosystem teeming with life.

Lwenge Retreat takes its name from an old local word for this serene stretch of the Kafue River—an unhurried place where wildlife and wilderness remain at the forefront. Elephants often cross directly in front of camp, and the riverbank teems with life, setting the tone for a deeply immersive safari experience.

Although newly built, Lwenge is closely tied to Classic Zambia’s roots. Located close to the site of Old Musekese, Lwenge is a natural extension of the same vast and private wilderness that returning guests already know well. Together, these two camps give guests access to an expansive, lightly explored area of the Kafue, with a level of exclusivity hard to match.

Lwenge is designed for private use, with just four spacious tents accommodating up to eight guests. It’s an ideal retreat for families and friends wanting complete privacy. The camp offers sweeping river views, a quiet setting, and the same attention to detail and quality guiding that defines the Musekese experience. Private activities, a pool and wifi—this is a home-in-the-bush vibe.
