As the day begins or draws to a close, traverse rolling red dunes and open savannahs in search of wildlife such as springbok, ostrich, and other desert-adapted species. The intimate Ozondjou Trails is erected on a small plateau and offers magnificent panoramic views over the Ugab and the massive Brandberg. Ozondjou is the Herero word for elephants.
Accommodation is in comfortable meru-style tents with solar lights, en-suite shower, wash basin and flushing toilet. A tented lapa is used as a dining room and lounge. An English breakfast and a 3-course dinner prepared on the fire pit are included.
The camp is situated 4km off the C35 on the road between Uis and Khorixas (40km from Uis just after the Ugab bridge) and is only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle.
There is no cellphone signal at Ozondjou Trails.

Etosha Mountain Lodge, set in its own Reserve, is designed in the typically Namibian style with beautiful far-reaching views from the dolomite hill on which it stands. The design is characterised by wood and stone interiors with relaxed soft furnishings. Its high roofed, round thatch buildings boast a large 'Lapa' area with a well-stocked bar, a lounge with DSTV and in-door fire-place for those chilly winter evenings, a small but plentiful curio shop, reception with Wi-Fi access and lastly the comfortable, spacious dining room. Outside on the large wooden decked area is a refreshing swimming pool, out-door 'Boma' and abundant wine cellar.
This classic lodge comprises of eight thatched chalets and one spacious family suite. All have en-suite bathrooms, with both a shower and bathtub in each, and their own expansive wooden viewing decks enabling you to fully take in the breathtaking vistas surrounding you.
Daily activities include game drives on the Reserve, tracking the elusive Black and White Rhino and the growing population of big cats. As the sun drops you can search for those nocturnal species not seen during the day. The Reserve acts as a wildlife buffer for the National Park so guests have the chance to learn more of the conservation and protection efforts that are in place in the area.

Game drives are taken in our Etosha Heights Private Reserve. We track the elusive black and white rhino while staying on the lookout for the big cats of the Reserve. There is plentiful plains game and excellent birding. Night drives on the Reserve afford the chance to spot many of the nocturnal inhabitants of the area.
After an early dinner and depending on the weather we also offer night drives on the reserve. Different from day game drives by that you stand a chance to see some of the nocturnal species that roam our reserve. We look for all of them, from bugs to birds and maybe something bigger.
Guided walks are offered to the more adventurous. A short drive out, and then the fun starts as you experience a whole new way of finding and viewing animals. Be sure to follow every instruction your guide gives you and you will have a great time. Children aged 12 years and over may take part in a walking safari.
Enjoy a lovely meal away from the lodge in the bush or hide. Weather permitting.

They also get to experience what life was like on a traditional Namibian Farming and Game Estate in years gone by, with a morning or afternoon nature game drive through the separate 2 000 hectare nature reserve, along the Swakop River. Wildlife found here includes giraffe, blue and black wildebeest, oryx, kudu, hartebeest, eland, warthog, baboon and smaller antelope species such as the steenbok. The riverfront is a birder’s paradise.
