The name Qorokwe means 'the place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water' and is evocative of the high-density game area in which the camp is situated. Situated on the quieter, western side of Botswana’s Chobe National Park, Safari Lodge is only forty minutes’ drive from Kasane and just two hours from the Victoria Falls. Set at the top of an escarpment, the lodge overlooks the banks of the Chobe River, and the impressive floodplains. The main building incorporates an elegant dining area, bar and library, with the reception area opening out to wide viewing decks leading to the swimming pool. The 11 thatched chalets are widely spaced along the edge of the escarpment, with endless floodplain vistas from their balconies.
