Mmatsebe Tented Camp | Khwai

MmaTsebe is an owner-run camp set on 25 hectares of private land along the Mbudi River, a tributary of the Khwai. Bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp enjoys a peaceful setting away from central Khwai’s high-season hustle, yet access to iconic wildlife areas, with game drives traversing both Moremi and the Khwai Concession. 20-minutes drive from Khwai Airstrip the camp offers a relaxed, character-rich setting with sweeping views.

An airy canvas-on-deck space with dining and lounging areas is at the camp's heart. A plunge pool offers a cool retreat on hot days, while the boma invites coffees or nightcaps shared around the fire. A WI-FI lounge lets guests reconnect without compromising the feeling of immersion in the bush.

Nine Meru-style en-suite tents offer privacy, tucked into the mopane trees. Tents feature plush bedding, a canopy mosquito net and ceiling fan, double vanity bathroom with flush loo and hot shower. Plug points, a desk, seating, and a shaded deck with river views complete the accommodation.

Year-round activities include mokoro excursions and Sitatunga’s Edge – a boat trip from Xakanaxa aboard a double-decker pontoon exploring the delta’s winding waterways.

A rare find in the Delta: a characterful, well-run camp with a refreshingly accessible price point.

Karangoma | Okavango Delta

Karangoma is the result of a partnership with local elder Olatotse Sarefo and is rooted in Bukakhwe San and Hambukushu culture.

The name itself is a Sembukushu word describing ‘drum beating, ancestral healing, bringing good future to the tribe, or, when one is ill, cure dancing’. It is exactly this essence of healing and harmony that the camp seeks to offers its guests in their reconnection with nature and traditional cultures.

And what better place to do that than the productive and beautiful Okavango Delta where this small, exclusive camp offers the opportunity for some truly special game viewing and connection with the natural world. Karangoma’s 6 tented suites are hidden on a shaded peninsula with gorgeous views out across the floodplains.
