We are a small independent lodge run by people who adore wildlife and care about the environment. Our lodge is set in a beautiful location on the banks of Luangwa River, home to wallowing hippos and bathing elephants, and makes the most of our wonderful surroundings without compromising on comfort.

Thornicroft Lodge main building You'll find the lounge, the bar, reception and dinner area there. The pool is 50 meters from the main building, 4 chalets on the right and 5 on the left hand side.
Relax after game drives The fireplace, a popular spot in the lodge to chill after game drives and dinner.
Thornicroft Lodge chalet The chalets are for 2-3 persons, not really luxury but very comfortable. Private bathroom, electricity, walk-in mosquito netting.

Gwabi River Lodge | Chirundu

Gwabi River Lodge is ideally situated along the tranquil banks of the Kafue River in the Lower Zambezi Valley. Accommodation options feature self-catering chalets with complimentary tea/coffee trays, comfortable beds, and air conditioning. Additional accommodation includes two campsite chalets, stone tents, and a Serengeti tent with cosy beds. Nature enthusiasts can pitch their tents on the designated campsites with stunning views of the Kafue River. General facilities include shared bathrooms, a bathroom, a bar, and a swimming pool. Area activities include fishing, game drives, river/canoe safaris, and birdwatching.
