andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge is situated in Ngala Private Game Reserve, which shares an unfenced boundary with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, South Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary and one of the biggest game reserves in the world. A spectacular diversity of wildlife moves through this immense wilderness, including breeding herds of elephant, leopard, spotted hyena, giraffe, large buffalo herds and white rhino. With its name meaning lion in Shangaan, the local language, Ngala lives up to its promise, supporting several large prides of these powerful cats. African wild dog can also be spotted moving through the reserve.

Tucked under a canopy of mopane and tamboti trees, andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge boasts 21 classic thatched Cottages, including a spacious Family Villa. Each ensuite Cottage, with private veranda, exudes a romantic colonial ambiance with nostalgic safari memorabilia throughout. The gracious Family Villa accommodates six guests and includes a private swimming pool and the use of a private vehicle. The Lodge’s sparkling swimming pool and sundeck overlook a natural riverine woodland, ideal for avid birdwatchers. Hearty breakfasts and delicious lunches are served in the dappled shade of an enormous weeping boerbean tree. Upon their return from exhilarating evening drives, guests are welcomed by Ngala’s warm, hospitable staff and a banquet set in the elegant candlelit courtyard or an African feast in the open-air traditional boma. Southern African Wildlife College | Kruger Private Reserves

The Southern African Wildlife College, situated 10 km west of the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park, opened its doors in 1997. It is proudly supported by WWF South Africa and Peace Parks Foundation, who share the vision of building the capacity of staff in wildlife areas. The programmes presented at the college cover the full spectrum of skills needed to sustain and rehabilitate wildlife areas. The foundation has been sponsoring student bursaries since 1997 and in 2004 took over from WWF South Africa the responsibility of covering any operational shortfalls.

The location is named after a family of Klipspringers who can be seen roaming the area and overlooks a nearby watering hole adorned with a professional hide for effortless game viewing and photography, while the pool, open air boma, and raised lounge invites guests to enjoy the scenery in elegance and style.

Peruse the pinnacle of bushveld living in the midst of a rich garden tapestry. Three thatched and standalone cottages, as well as the spacious main house, offers guests cosy accommodation. The waterhole provides game viewing without having to venture far. Our world class hide is where professional photographers are adding amazing work to their profiles.

Two game-drives per day with a professional guide is included in the price.

The common area is equipped with all at-home luxuries, while the surrounding environment promotes a harmonious relationship with nature. Rest and recuperate on the veranda, refresh in the crystal clear pool, and journey to the watering hole to marvel at the wondrous wildlife that calls Selati home.
