Mount Etjo Safari Lodge | Central Namibia

'Etjo' means a place of refuge. At Mount Etjo Safari Lodge, the African traveller will leave with his heart and mind enriched and his soul set at ease by having found peace and harmony in the African natural world. Twyfelfontein Country Lodge | Damaraland

Welcome to Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. A true landmark situated in the heart of one of the world’s most magnificent wilderness regions. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Twyfelfontein in Damaraland is home to one of the largest collections of rock-art engravings found in Southern Africa. Not only did the Khoi-San and tribes of ancient years leave us with a true cultural heritage, but the whole area is characterised by natural wonders such as Doros Crater, Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes, Petrified Forest and desert-adapted animals – of which the desert-adapted elephant is probably the most well-known species.

Nestled along the mountainside, the lodge beautifully blends in with its surrounding environment. Using natural stone, carefully selected paint colours and thatched roofs, its design compliments the sandstone rock formations with minimum visual impact on this picturesque landscape. Magnificent views from the deck over the Huab Valley, desert plains and distant mountains provide for hours of relaxed comfort, peace and tranquillity.

Twyfelfontein is much more than just accommodation; it is a destination in itself.

Literally metres from the fertile Atlantic Ocean, Cape Cross Lodge presents a unique and serene stop for travellers along this vast untamed, seldom explored wilderness on the Skeleton Coast. Situated alongside the biggest breeding Cape Fur Seal colony in the world, but well out of the "smell" zone, 60 km north of Henties Bay and 120 km north of Swakopmund. The curious mix of Cape Dutch and West Coast fishing village architecture with colossal windows happily embrace the natural light and affords endless contemplated vistas.

Casa al Mare | Swakopmund

True hospitality at the West Coast now has a name: CASA AL MARE. This quaint little but exclusive guest house only two minutes from the beach offers a warm and passionate welcome to the weary traveller who wants to rest his head after a long journey under the scorching sun through the barren wide open spaces of the Namib Desert. And here, where the desert meets the Ocean, two hearts have amalgamated to offer their guests something really special: Unrivalled exquisite and precious Namibian – Italian hospitality.

This is choice if you want friendly, warm Namibian reception with Italian “allegria”, a cosy relaxing and inspiring atmosphere with the sound of the ocean waves only a few steps away and truly feeling at home. Because here is where your heart is HAPPY.

Tsondab Valley Lodge | Solitaire

Tsondab Valley Lodge consists of five extravagant bungalows; each with a stunning view over the Namib dunes. They feature a roof terrace which is accessed by an outer staircase. Up here the dune landscape lies at your feet; let yourself be enchanted with a private sundowner on your roof or with a night under the stars.

The bungalows are robustly built with high ceilings and thick outer walls, which shield against heat and strong winds. They offer guests a living room with two beds and a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet.

Included in the price are breakfast, afternoon coffee and cake as well as a three course dinner served from the lodge's German-Namibian farm kitchen. Guests can look forward to hearty dishes of fresh game meat from the farm.

Tsondab Valley also has a camping area near the lodge with three campsites under the Acacia Umbrella Thorn trees with a magnificent panorama over the Camelthorn and dune landscape. Each site has its own wind-break, water point (drinking water), a mobile fireplace and a stone table. A favourite highlight is the open-air showers (hot and cold water) integrated into the rocky overhang below the limestone ridge. Here campers will be amazed at the open view of the stars and the dunes, while being in intimate harmony with nature.
