Deception Valley Lodge is nestled on the north-eastern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in one of the largest private game reserves in Botswana. The Deception Valley Private Reserve spans more than 43 000Ha of pristine Kalahari wilderness. Designated waterholes, hidden viewing hides, vegetated dunes, natural pans and an amazing valley, offering incredible game viewing opportunities.

The lodge also gives you an opportunity to embrace the Naru tribe’s culture as they share intricate knowledge about their way of life. This cultural exchange is a fundamental part of the Kalahari experience, offering a once in a lifetime experience to your stay. Guests can also enjoy the clear night skies by star-gazing activity which is available on request. The Camp waterhole is a major attraction and hours can be spent sitting on the deck enjoying the view and activity as the wildlife visit for a drink.

An exceptional camping safari where our dedicated team handles all camp chores. At all times, there is one guide accompanying the guests, while a backup team, comprising a chef and camp assistants, works from a support vehicle to set up and dismantle camps, prepare meals, and more.

EQUIPMENT:
Walk in mini-meru tents with bedrolls and bedding included and ensuite private bush ablutions (shower, toilet, toiletry stand) with direct access from the tent. All drinks included (softs, local alcoholic drinks, drinking water)
VEHICLE:
4x4 safari vehicles custom-built by Bush Ways - custom built trailers - one backup vehicle specifically dedicated to setting-up/packing the camp
NUMBER OF GUESTS:
Maximum 9 pax (so that everyone gets a window seat)
No minimum pax required, safari is guaranteed once Bush

The Chobe Elephant Camp is a  rustic camp located on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the spectacular Chobe River which is home to an abundance of elephant, crocodile and hippo. The entire camp can sleep 36 guests who will enjoy the sweeping views of the Chobe River from the comfort of their suites.

The lodge prides itself on being eco-friendly and is built from the same red Kalahari Sand that dominates the northern part of Botswana. This is an authentic safari lodge with a minimalist atmosphere to the camp. Fitted with a curio guests are also able to take with them souvenirs.

A large, open-plan lounge area opens out onto a wooden deck with a small splash pool. Guests will never be short of activities and can enjoy anything from boating on the Chobe River to game drives in open safari vehicles.

There are 10 twin rooms, all with an en-suite bathrooms. There are also indoor and outdoor showers and private verandas. The whole lodge has been designed to take advantage of the spectacular views over the Chobe River.

Our Chalets offer high comfort with the feel and look of the traditional farmstead located in the African wilderness. Polished floors, exposed wooden beams and weathered furniture capture this rustic charm. Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge the chalets provide an amazing view over the floodplains of the famous Chobe River.

The camp has 2 family chalets on site, each with 2 twin or double rooms and an interleading lounge.. Each room is en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioning and ceiling fan, safe, and private veranda. An extra, third bed can be added on request. The whole lodge has been designed to take advantage of the spectacular views over the Chobe River, so whether you choose to relax on your private veranda, read a book in the lounge, have a drink at the bar or cool off in the pool, the vista will always be there to enjoy.
