Towering over the pans of the Auob wetlands is the Suricate Tented Lodge which has been built on top of a majestic red dune.
The tents which combine the ultimate African safari experience with the comforts and luxuries of modern day living leave a lasting impression on all our guests.
There are 12 tents complete with mini bars, safes, mosquito nets and all the amenities available at the other lodges with the added benefit of an open-air en-suite bathroom and a deck. One of the tents is a honey-moon suite, which is appropriately distanced from the other tents and has its own plunge pool for the convenience of the romantic couple.
The main lodge area is also intriguing as it boasts a large deck that overlooks the entire shimmering pan and the warbling waters of the infinity pool release any tension. Guests can choose to have their meals in the communal dining room which also has a built in fire place and bean bags for guests to relax on or to enjoy their meal on the deck surveying the pans.
At night guests enjoy the starry skies with drinks by the fire pit with the friendly staff at your beck and call, ready and willing to assist you with planning your day or with facilitating any activities guests may want to enjoy.

Okaukuejo is located 17 km from the southern entrance of the park, and famous for its floodlit waterhole, where visitors can observe at close quarters a spectacle of wildlife congregating and interacting. Accommodation is provided to suit every need, in premier bush chalets overlooking the waterhole; bush chalets and double rooms; or family chalets. Other facilities include a restaurant, bar, shop, swimming pool, kiosk and camping facilities.
Okaukuejo Rest Camp is also the administrative centre of Etosha. Most visitors travel through this camp with its characteristic stone tower and Etosha Ecological Institute is also situated within the camp. The rest camp was formerly a military outpost founded in 1901 and the tower was added in 1963. Located in the south of Etosha National Park, Okaukuejo offers a wide range of accommodation as well as all the necessities such as a petrol station and a shop. The restaurant and bar offer refreshments and delicious meals, while the swimming pool offers relief on hot days. The waterhole is a hub of animal activity starting in the early hours of the morning.
Especially during winter, a diversity of game congregate in close proximity to the camp to quench their thirst. After sunset floodlights illuminate the waterhole. This is the best time and place to see the endangered black rhino. This archaic mammal can often be seen drinking alongside lion and elephant. The number and interaction of the animals is the major drawcard of Okaukuejo Rest Camp in Namibia.

In the local Herero language, Onguma means, "the place you don't want to leave." With a stunning main building and seven tents providing private, exclusive accommodation, Onguma Tented Camp, certainly lives up to its name.
Like the bush where soft air blows against sharp thorns, Onguma Tented Camp is a study in contrasts. Textures such as stone, suede, linen and steel create a setting that is sleek and modern but also inherently of the earth. Inspired by a photograph of an Oryx on Etosha's Fisher's Pan, the interior echoes the colours of its natural surrounds. Grey, charcoal, black, white, and creams, together with a touch of muted or unexpectedly bright green, adds sophistication and earthiness to the atmosphere of this seven tent camp.
The water-level hide will provide hours of game viewing opportunities for guests.
Onguma Game Reserve now offers guests an opportunity to start their safari from the moment they touch down at the private airstrip!
