Rovos Rail has earned an international reputation for its truly world class travel experiences. The nine scheduled journeys begin or end at Rovos Rail Station, the headquarters and private station of this independent railway company, which is situated in Pretoria.
The epitome of luxury, with handsome wood panelling and period Edwardian features, the air-conditioned suites accommodate two people offering the option of twin or spacious double beds. In the en-suite bathrooms, original fittings combine with the modern technology of hot showers, hairdryers and shaver plugs. The very spacious suites offer passengers the opportunity to travel in privacy, comfort and luxury with fittings and facilities that are of the highest standard. Rovos Rail takes pride in the fact that all meals are served in one sitting only in the Victorian era atmosphere of the dining cars; lunch and dinner are complemented by a selection of fine South African wines. All meals are produced by an enthusiastic team of chefs who are responsible for ensuring that the needs of the guests are met and catered for. The accent with all meals is on fresh local ingredients; with traditional dishes such as game being a specialty on the train.

The Safari Club comprises 16 Club Rooms & 4 Club Suites. The luxurious rooms have uninterrupted views of the unspoilt bushveld and spectacular sunsets. All rooms have three-quarter beds that can be converted into king beds. There are 2 sets of interleading Club Rooms and 2 sets of Club Suites interleading into Club Rooms. Room facilities include: complimentary mini bar which is re-stocked daily with local beer and soft drinks, house wine and bottled water, digital safes large enough to hold laptop computers, international multi sockets, beverage station including Nespresso machine, LED lighting, gauze screens and sliding glass doors opening out onto a private balcony, complimentary WiFi, and air-conditioning. The Club Suites offer the same facilities as the Club Rooms, but also include a spacious adjacent sitting room.
The Safari Club has its own Club Lounge, and offers a butler-style service, complimentary afternoon tea and pastries served 15h30 to 16h30, complimentary sundowners and canapés served from 17h30 to 18h30 and a complimentary shuttle service to the Victoria Falls, town centre and markets. Light meals are available from 11h00 to 21h30 and bar service from 11h00 till late.

Located in the Chobe Forest Reserve just 3km from the Chobe National Park (a region renowned for its outstanding wildlife, in particular the famous Chobe Elephants, and home to more than 75 mammal and 450 bird species), Ngoma Safari Lodge commands awe-inspiring views over the Chobe River and floodplains.
The lodge’s central area includes a well-appointed sitting room, dining room and bar area as well as a plunge pool. Each private river-facing suite offers quiet refuge, and is one of only eight luxuriously styled and spacious lodges, each complete with bath, indoor and outdoor showers and a private outdoor living area with a “refresh and relax pool”.
Due to it’s location in the Chobe Forest Reserve, the lodge can offer night drives. Activities include a full-day safari comprising a drive in the Chobe National Park, a cruise and a picnic lunch, day or night drives, walks and birding. Visits to the local village may also be arranged.
