About Roncook Safaris

Roncook Safaris was started and managed by Raymond Bere, a seasoned Tour and Safari Operator, what more could you ask for. “Professor” as he is affectionately known by the multitude of his clients, colleague and business associates has been in the tourism industry for more than 20 years.

Raymond Started his career in Zimbabwe in the mid-90s with one of the leading Tour Operators of that time, United Touring Company (UTc Zimbabwe). He started off as a Tour Consultant fresh from University. In a short period of time because of his knowledge, commitment, creativity, dedication, attention to detail and the love of the tourism industry he was promoted to Senior Consultant. The “Professor” is also credited with starting Solerset Tours which was a subsidiary of the largest Reinsurance company in Zimbabwe (ZIMRE).

As his name in the tourism industry grew, the demand for his “Services” also grew and saw him moving briefly to Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa. After a stint in these countries, the “Professor” has now found home and settled in Namibia, the home of the Namib Desert. For him to gain all the knowledge and skills he worked for leading to tour operators namely Kuoni Private Safaris and Eagles Rock Tours and Safaris for many years before helping in setting up Roncook Safaris, a name synonymous with quality, excellence, innovation and personalised service. “The Professor” leads a small team of dedicated and professional consultants and guides who are devoted to offer dream holidays for holiday makers.

Our standard terms & conditions apply.

All quotations are subject to the availability of the services and do not include confirmed bookings unless stated otherwise. We shall automatically book an alternative should the quoted property not be available. A requote is necessary on the final status of booking confirmations.

All optional activities are subject to availability and to present weather conditions.

The traveller/agent is responsible for obtaining any necessary visas and travel permits

The traveller/agent is responsible for determining what, if any, vaccinations, health or safety precautions are necessary or recom­mended

Roncook Safaris does not accept any liability for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by Force Majeure or any other event which is beyond our control. This is including but not limited to; delays, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, weather, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment.

All quotations and confirmations are based upon the information provided at the time of confirmation. It is incumbent upon the traveller/agent to ensure all details are correct. Roncook Safaris will accept no responsibility for any omissions once the traveller/agent has agreed to the final confirmation.

We reserve the right to amend/increase the cost should there be an increase in fares, taxes, fuel surcharges, security taxes or any other unforeseen increases even following confirmation.

We further reserve the right to amend/change the itinerary owing to circumstances beyond our control and to ensure the continued enjoyment of the travel program/itinerary.

Certain parts of Namibia are located within malaria risk areas. We advise that clients contact their local physicians prior to travelling to establish which pre-cautionary medicines are required.

Dietary requirements can only be accommodated if communicated at booking stage

Cancellation Policy:

For all booked and confirmed offers the following cancellation policy applies.

60 – 31 days prior to arrival 10%

31 – 21 days prior to arrival 50%

20 – 08 days prior to arrival 75%

07 – 0 days prior to arrival & No-shows 100%

Payment Policy:

A deposit of 25% of the full package/services quoted becomes due and payable upon confirmation of any reservation.

Final balances become payable and must be received no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival.

Where reservations are made within 30 days of date of arrival, full payment is due within 72 hours of confirmation.
