Estancia Ninette Uruguay - 4 Day Combo Hunt

Estancia La Ninette is the only hunting lodge built especially for hunters. The lodge has eight bedrooms, all with private baths, a large living room with fireplace that overlooks the Rio Negro, and a very nice indoor barbecue room that usually becomes the main hang out. Meals will feature beef, chicken, game, pasta, salads, and Uruguayan wines. Still a family run program, owner Hector Sarasola and son Gonzalo are fully involved in the day-to-day operations overseeing scouting, hunting and finer details to make your trip a memorable one.

This trip offers true combo hunt for dove and perdiz. Perdiz will be hunted behind Hectors excellent Brittanys. You will be hunting two hunters and one dog handler per dog. Perdiz are usually found in singles and occasionally you may find them in pairs but they do not covey up like quail. We will hunt the Perdiz until late morning then return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta. We will try and arrange the pace of the trip around the group. Our afternoons will be spent hunting doves going to roost. Our target is the eared dove, which is very similar to our mourning dove in the states. This is high volume shooting and in a typical afternoon you can expect to shoot 15-30 boxes of shells. Evenings are spent relaxing back at Ninette anticipating the next morning's hunt.
