Inyati’s expert rangers lead game drives in specially designed safari vehicles with off-road access, offering close and exclusive wildlife encounters. The Sabi Sand Nature Reserve is home to the Big Five — elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards, and buffalos — as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wild dogs, and a variety of antelope. Inyati is particularly known for its frequent and intimate leopard sightings.

Fishing is available as an additional activity between game drives. All equipment is provided. Fishing takes place in the Sand River and at the causeway, with guests always accompanied by a trained and armed ranger or tracker. The Sand River contains over 37 fish species, including Sharp-tooth Catfish (Barbel), Mozambique Tilapia (Bream), Squeakers, Tigerfish, Smallmouth Yellowfish, and Mudfish.

Inyati offers guided bush walks, allowing guests to explore the smaller details of the bush, including birds, insects, butterflies, trees, grasses, flowers, geology, and ecology. Walks take place before or after breakfast, depending on the season and weather. Occasional sightings of the Big Five are possible.

Inyati proudly partners with the family-owned Vriesenhof Wine Estate in Stellenbosch to produce our house wines. Guests can enjoy an extensive selection of South Africa’s finest wines, perfectly paired with meals enjoyed around the campfire.
